Visiting the Very Large Array Socorro, NM

If you had gone down the road there is a visitors center with a self guided tour. My wife and I happened upon the VLA while in our RV traveling. We had no clue it was there, but took the detour and spent about an hour exploring. It was an awesome unexpected find.

Looking on Google maps, there’s about 30 of these huge things running in 3 directions from a common center point. Did they hear anything?

I work there. Yes, we detect neat things all the time. Not really "hearing" things though. Just "seeing" radio light. Fantastic place to work.

Don't go to school here. Everyone here ends up with cancer And that's because If you look up socorro nm superfund site you'll see what I'm talking about they are barely cleaning it up after decades. This small town isn't only toxic but it's also the worst to move to the locals are crazy and if you got a family. Your bound to lose someone here to either an affair or drugs or crime. Not worth living here.
