Great video, Well done on asking the spirits for permission, That's all the traditional people ask for... respect... And you offered that. You give the whole place a relative approach, you are opening the eyes to the Young, and showing that everybody should respect the land.... well done brother.... Keep up the new vids.....

Thanks mark, you bloody legend. Didn’t actually realise how much luke does not edit anything out of this and it was the realest perspective of what actually happened ! So wasn’t expecting everyone to see that or notice it.

The "traditional owners" were forced out of the area by a rival Aboriginal tribe in 1918, who then vacated the area in 1920. The current "traditional owners" is a made up political consortium.

Voyages Indigenous Tourism run the resort.. Yes big business & very much controlled! The Main custodians ( The Anagnu people ) are treated as second hand citizens on their own homelands. The indigenous community of Mutitjulu sits right beside Uluru, a no zone to tourists.. They don't want the world to see how the are treated. This resort brings in millions each year & they turn a blind eye to the true custodians!!.. Yes you will see the locals sitting in a park teaching tourists how to paint etc. but they do not get paid correctly by the resort!!! It's a sad situation really, as for the employees, they are paid crumbs!!.. It's a prison camp tbh. Thankyou for bringing it to light Luke. If you went into any of the hotels, you'd probably notice you'll be greeted by a chinese or indian.. not being racist!! but I seen it first hand for 3 yrs straight!!! I was also greeted by an Indian employee on the tarmac after returning from my holidays!!!!! Being an indigenous resort on indigenous homelands, you would think they would SHOWCASE IT!!!!!! It's out of whack!!! All of the indigenous employees are kept stagnet!! All their wages are spent back into the resort!!!! and the little money boxes they ask you to donate to.. called the 'MUTITJULU FOUNDATION' found on the front counters throughout the resort, does not go towards the community... Voyages pocket the lot!!!! Glad I got out of there!!! Only one thing I miss from that place is that ROCK & the true custodians 🖤💛❤ Thanks for the vent!!! & for this vlog
@jemo.2119 ай бұрын
Thanks for all that info ! I did notice they replace indigenous with Fijians probably to fool international travellers into thinking they are aboriginal
@Johhny_B9 ай бұрын
The "Anagnu" are not the traditional owners though. The Yankunytjatjara were and they were forced out of the area under the threat of annihilation by another Aboriginal tribe over 100 years ago.
@yashak756 ай бұрын
Reason why not many indigenous employees are they just don't show up to work. Working isn't important to them. They've had to 'import' aborigines from interstate to 'show face'. They are required to keep a certain percentage of the workforce indigenous 😮 I lived in Yulara for 7 years, worked in Hotel Management 😊 The Mutijulu Foundation donations are matched, not 100% goes to them due to admin fees etc. Last time Mutijulu got a chunk of money, they built a pool but ended up having to be cemented over as they trashed it

Very spiritual place where you guys went. Notice when your mate asked for permission to go in the water the wind started picking up meaning aboriginal spirits were aware of his presence and communicating back to him. Also as i was watching, a orb actually flew across my room kinda like the spirits knew what was going on and heard him in real time. Would be interesting to know if your mate has aboriginal decent in him? By the way keep him in your videos hes such a character. And i reckon you 2 guys should do a world tour together. Respect.

Really appreciate you bro, yes I have an unknown amount of aboriginal decent in there somewhere but not fully recorded down in our family tree as it was frowned upon back than I’ve been told l. I do have NOTICE OF LAWFUL DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY signed by aboriginal mobs.

Hey Luke, i climbed the rock when i was 12 with my dad,, was hectic and pretty scarey at some parts, on way up we had to get on our hands and knees in a section wherr it was steep drops at both sides as and climbed down slowly on our butts lol. Most parts we could walk. We camped there overnight, the skys at night were just magic. They had just replaced the signing book at the top after the old one got stollen. This was back in the late 1970s. Times were so much better then, we didnt have to pay entre and everything was free... pritty sad these days, they charge money for everything,,, so much for the lucky country ay..
