Sherpa is is a trooper. And he has a sense of judgment . He knows what he can do or not, and he will and think it over before he does anything dumb. I used to take my black lab to a river and he would jump in and swim Against The Current for as long as he could upstream; then jump out run back to where I was; jump back in and go back upstream; over and over. Meanwhile, I’d spend the whole time with my heart in my throat while he was astoundingly happy. And Jamie I love that you know that he knows what you want him to do. And you don’t nag at him trying to make him do it sooner or faster. I think that also helps make him a more stable, thoughtful, dog. Sherpa certainly has trained you well.

Dear "My2ndnephew", Yes, 🐕Sherpa🐕 is such a lovely companion for Jamie. The interaction , the curiosity, the care ( love how Jamie always makes sure " Sherpie" has enough water), the games with chasing treats, going to see " Key" ; great food, etc. 💕 It all comes from the bond they have built between them, and that of course comes from commitment and love.🐕💕🐕 This is why so many folk say their dog is part of their family. They really are ! 🐕😊. I love these walks, they must be SO appreciated and enjoyed by those who don't / can't get out much. You feel as if you're there with them, with Jamie describing the scenes, showing us informative signs, and dear Sherpa, trotting along ahead . I always look for new Sherpa adventures🐕. The walk and the waterfall were both fun, but I laughed out loud when you were offering a treat to Sherpa and he wasn’t interested … until you said the word “sausage” and then he was all ears! The walk looked very nice and Sherpa was a good boy the whole way. Wonderful! I also truly enjoy seeing Sherpa having fun exploring new places. And Jamie, don’t be too envious of the people who were swimming. They don’t have a Sherpa! You’ve got the best deal!

I enjoy everywhere you take Sherpa for two reasons that popped into my brain. 1) The places you two get off to are precisely the places that a dog would be happy exploring, places where a dog can be a dog, and 2) You are taking your best friend everywhere you possibly can. It's surprising to me that your rig does not have aircon but I'm sure it is because I live in a part of California in the US where we can go a week or more with temps over 100 degrees.
