As of 1st May 2024 , you will have tougher rules converting visitor visa to work permit unless no work permit holder can do job in canada,you'll have almost zero chance..

Processing time depends on some factors like the country you are applying from, wait time and all. So I can’t say how long it will take. You can just have within 6 months I mind. I have heard of cases that took up to a year or more. And mine within 7 days. So it varies

Hi! Have you sent your passport to IRCC for stamping? Did you do biometric? Call IRCC, Tell them you want to confirm the status of your Visa application, then you provide the Visa number you have. If it is in their system, you will get your visa status. If not, you have your answer

@@charmingbrenda I used an agent, he applied for me a visitor visa since April 14 2023 and did biometric 2 August 2023 and he keep in telling me that no response anytime I ask of my application status. I'm feeling he didn't do the right thing because I don't have access to my password to check in iRCC portal.

@@ivivremendi9859Next time avoid agents…all these things can be done by you. They are after your money and they won’t do the job well, some do not do it at all.
