That snow hiking looked so nice...even better that you aren't staying out in it for the night. Good luck on the PhD Vista!

It looks like you're having a great time on your adventure. Im glad you have someone to hike with. I think that makes hiking more fun and less stressful. Unless you're hiking with someone, that's annoying. Lol Like on the movie, A Walk in the Woods. I dont know if you've seen it. But towards the beginning of the movie, a girl starts to tag along with the 2 men, uninvited, but she thinks she knows everything, and shes just annoying. Lol If you haven't seen it, look it up. It's not Robert Redfords best movie, but it's funny. It's about the Appalachian trail and 2 old buddies hiking it, but aren't prepared or in shape. It's fun to see in the movie some of the hostels and trails we've seen on so many youtubers videos. It's also a book written by Bill Bryson. Did Vista say she's working on a PhD? Thats wonderful and a very cool career to get into. My daughters drove us to Waco Texas from Wisconsin for a girls trip in February. My youngest daughter who is a scientist, wanted to visit the Mammoth National park there. That was amazing. Very cool place. They built a building over a dig site and there's a family of Mammoth fossils and other fossils. They still dig there too. We also saw some recent fossil finds at the Bad Lands in South Dakota a few years ago. Its interesting to hear about fossils people have found, but to see them in person is breathtaking. My Mom always wished she could of been a Paleontologist, but in the 50s, that wasn't something they pushed women to get into, unfortunately. It's so nice that Vistas parents are visiting. I love their camper, and the dog is so cute. I looked back at your videos to see if you showed what you were bringing on your hike but didnt see one. Im wondering what shoes you have and if you like them so far. Also your watch. Thanks for bringing us along and the great videos. Be safe and have fun ✌️🫶

How is that foam pad working out for you? I’m thinking about using that this year instead of an inflatable one. Your videos are awesome keep crushing it!

I have an inflatable pad as well. I started with both knowing it would be colder and their R values would stack. Vista only uses the foam pad and it works well for her. I think it would be difficult to switch from a cozy inflatable pad to the foam. I think it’s possible though! I may end up doing it as it gets warmer.
