Operation Christmas Spirit

In 1981 Chambers Restaurant owner, Will Howard, began cooking frozen Canada Geese leftover from the prior waterfowl season. He wanted to give them to those persons in Easton, MD who had little to eat. Not knowing who the poor were he called his friend Sheldon Scott who operated a cab. "Scotty" as he was known delivered dozens to the poor. Each roasted duck came with all the fixings.
Scott kept the operation going using the local Fire Hall for now 37 years including clothing, food, turkey dinner and lots of volunteers. The most important ingredient was a smile to every one.
