Greetings, I'm a tour guide from the Town Hall of Tallinn, and actually it was first mentioned back in 1322, not built, the oldest part of the building could date back to 1248, but the gothic town hall reached it's full glory in 1404. Love your content btw.

For the viewer: We are preparing a trip to Tallinn and started watching KZbin videos routinely at dinner to learn more about the city. The unbroken commonality of KZbin videos on places is how bad they are. Slapped toether by fatheads and idiots with no idea how to do a video and too lazy to bother to take one of the free courses -- on KZbin! When it comes to Tallinn there is one glaring exception. Visti Tallinn, and Polly in particualar, are stuffed full of useful information, edited professionally, on topic, informed and really worth while. In fact, they, and some tours, are the skeleton around which we are planning our visit.

@4:32 .... and should have added here that when completed it was the tallest building in the entire world. @9:48 You missed mentioning that Old Town Hall also has a climbing opportunity to view the top of the bell tower. @19:40 Yay! Estonian Museum of Architecture made your list. That was the first museum I visited in Tallinn.... during the last millennium! 😎 At that time they had a temporary exhibit of core drilled samples of Estonian natural marble. I wish we could visit that exhibit again! @22:24 Oh good! You did not forget the Estonian Open Air Museum... I was suspecting it would not be included at the point you said "two more neighborhoods...." I thought the "two" had already been utilized. @23:04 The staff member at the Chapel pointed out to us a "Emaspuu" across the path.... so we took a photo with it while she got a big hearty laugh! @23:18 Interesting! I did not recall traditional meals served there. Yum!

Hi there, Thank you for the kind words. If you are looking for more art museums in the city then check out this list: visittallinn.ee/eng/visitor/see-do/things-to-do/attractions-museums?object_category_id=490|475 If you plan to visit a few museums within a short period of time (24h, 48h or 72h). Then, the Tallinn Card might be a cheaper option for visiting the museums. You can read more about the card and its app here: visittallinn.ee/eng/visitor/tallinn-card/tallinn-card/online-shop

Hi. You do recommend climbing the Hellemann tower and Town wall.Where can we start to climb them`?Is there any street near them as a coordinate?
@VisitTallinn2 ай бұрын
That’s the address: Müürivahe 48. The entrance is located just opposite the St Katherine’s passage (the entry that closer to the Viru gates) and there is a big poster “Hellemann Tower” at the entry so you can’t miss it.
