Ah.. my second video and didn't disappoint! Having sailed (cruised?) On dozens of ships, Europa, and now Europa 2, has eluded me. From Crystal to Silverseas and yes, even Carnival (ehem), it's been a bucket item for me...and your video proves why

I have been fortunate to have been on three cruises on the Europa 2. What you saw is what one receives when the ship is full. The Yacht Club self service buffet restaurant is heaving at lunch time, and yet staff keep it looking immaculate.

Looks amazing! I think another appeal besides the luxury, is that the size of the ship allows it to venture where the big ones physically can't. I would imagine the itineraries are thoughtfully considered and quite unique

Kudos to this German line’s management for providing a cruise ship as it should be. But anyone touting the supposed immaculate efficiency of “Germanics” has never been in a Berlin night club or sat next to one on a ski lift.

The cruise lines give themselves 6 stars. There are no 6 star hotels even in USA so how can they possibly have a 6 star ship, howler this ship is Germany and the bible for cruise ship is Douglas Ward's Berlitz Cruses and Cruising which is the bible for cruise ship and they give both Europa and Europe 2, 5 stars plus. Nothing comes close to these ships.

It's true there isn't officially a 'six star' rating, but then there's not even a globally accepted five-star hotel ranking, or a governing body in charge of dispensing stars. Marketing eh (rolls eyes). Thanks for watching. :)

I thought it all looked a bit cold - I have never cruised and these videos are putting me off - it all sounds so socially competitive - how many cruises one has been on, what ships etc - I could not bear that - I suspect the clientele on most may be insufferable

@@lenvella9541 Actually I have been on her before 😂 Food and service were stunning but deco as I mentioned: boring, bland and spartan. Just back from the Silver Dawn. Much nicer in all single aspects. I know it’s just my opinion.

@@FranciscoCamino I am sure Silver Dawn was great for you. However EUROPA 2 has been voted best cruise ship in the world for the past 10 years so I take what the majority say.

@@lenvella9541 The majority is not Mr Douglas Ward. It doesn’t mean I had to follow his criteria. I haven’t said it’s not good. I have just said I don’t like her deco at all. It’s something which doesn’t mean it’s a bad product.

@@FranciscoCamino not just Mr Ward but his Berlitz Cruising and Cruise ships is generally acknowledged in the cruise industry as being the bible for cruise ships. You have cruise lines saying their ships are 5 star class or 6 star class. As there is not a single 6 star hotel in the US how can they possibly have a 6 star ship. Best hotels in the world are mostly (not all) mostly in Asia anyway. Silver Dawn I cannot comment on but rest of the Silver ships are 4 star in Douglas Wards Book and incidentally a lot of work goes into awarding those stars.
