Since the we of 16, I've been seeing spiders in my peripheral vision. It was always very sporadic until recently. It's become almost daily. I'm 40 now and I can't find any reasonable explanation for it! Why spiders? And they're so real!

Have you been looked at for sleep paralysis? Or seizures? If not, you should talk to a doctor when you get the chance and ask to be tested. Tests don't always find seizures even if you have them, but many people get lucky and the tests do find them. For now, maybe it would help fpr you to know this is a real thing where the brain is accidentally sending the wrong signals, and it gets confused. It's like if you hook a lamp wire up to your TV - it isn't going to work right. The brain is like a computer that can do weird things if the electricity is mixed up. That is not your fault - and it does not mean you're crazy. But a doctor can help. If they don't listen, find another doctor who will. Some parts of the brain control what you see, or how you understand what you see. When the signals get messed up, it can see things different than they really are, or you can see things that aren't really there. When you're tired it can get worse. The same thing happens with hearing things wrong, or hearing things that aren't there. It isn't always a mental illness. Seizures, auditory processing disorder, hearing loss, tinnitus, and other things are all common causes of hearing things. You should ask your doctor to look at all the possible problems *before* you treat it like a mental problem.

If your hallucinations happen only at night in bed, it really might be sleep paralysis. It's when you are asleep but not all the way, and your brain starts dreaming. BUT it puts the dreams into your mind on top of a picture of the room around you, and you don't wake up but you REALLY feel awake. So you hallucinate. I think you can get treated for this. So again, my advice is to talk to a doctor and MAKE them listen - don't let them just say they dont know and leave the room. And don't let them make you go to a psychiatrist or take pills for schizophrenia until after they have checked for EVERYTHING else that it can be first.

I'm seeing like black chalkboard with WHITE numbers, characters, objects, animals and it moves across from left to right. Also rotating and flashing objects that will REVERSE in their spinning. I have NO PAIN and no headache. It happens when I close my eyes.

I love how science will call you foolish just because we have rudimentary ways of measuring hallucinatory phenomena. Until you’ve seen how REALISTIC they can be it questions whether all humans have these connections with those areas of the brain to their visual cortex. It appears some people do, especially with degenerative diseases, epilepsy, and Schizophrenia which is the most common cause. It’s fascinating

I have been seen for my eye floaters and the reoccurring ocular headaches I’ve had and so far I been told my eyes look fine.. I been having a hard time sleeping and have VH that looks like a dark shape that moves quickly from my peripheral... I’m getting a CT scan done soon to rule out tumors or MS

I have a question, aside from my previous heavy stress and depression I was suffering from, I recently started a job building trusses. We build trusses on large tables in low light with a laser grid projected on the table which blinks about 4 times per second because the laser actually traces around the table really quick. After a days work I literally hallucinate this laser grid for several hours and its real vivid when I first wake up. By the second day of being out of work it subsides. But when back at it on monday, it starts up again. I also recently suffered from optic migraines with aura.

I think you should talk to a doctor or expert about that. Whatever it is its probably illigal to make u work in that condition. As it could be causing damage. And or maybe it's like when you stare at a light globe too long you see the light everywhere & takes ages to go away. Or when welding you shouldn't look at the light & need special glasses same with the sun!! It's just too bright & with these things they've figured out YOU DON'T LOOK AT THEM! You have to wear glasses for the sun and for welding! My hunch is ; that you should probably be wearing some form of glasses or eye protection for that light your working with. Because getting flashes of it for 2 days is NOT GOOD. even if it subsides . Long term in may be harmful. (Have you spoke to your boss about it or any other workers to see if they get the same thing?) Talk to an expert. An eye expert not just a regular doctor And get the 2nd opinion if needed.. Bless u and good luck

I have this odd thing where I'll see black blobs but my brain will tell me exactly what it is. Like I saw a hanging body a few days ago. I have been showing a lot of signs to depression yet I also show signs of schizophrenia..

This morning I woke up and started to see what looked look like an after image of a pattern with straight black lines inside a circle, either when my eyes were open or shut. I felt dizzy and very scared and did not have a headache. It went after about 15 minutes. It wasn't floaters as I've had them and it was nothing like that. Although its only happened once I wonder if anyone else has had this and what it could be? Thanks.

Uhm so hi! I can't really find answers anywhere on google and I really want to know. I was 4 years old. I woke up one night to see bugs, small black kinds, snails, worms and a single snake on the wall. Except the snake, everything was moving. I turned around to wake my dad up, and saw he had a moving snail on his back. I went over to my mom, but she had a worm in her hair. I crawled towards the end with the intention of going to my grandparents, but the floor was covered with the bugs. I screamed, and my parents woke up. I explained everything hysterically to them, and they turned the light on. Everything, GONE! No bugs, no snails, no snake. The light went off, they were there. I couldn't sleep for sometime, and eventually went over for comfort from my mother. She told me to pray to god, and I did. I later dreamt of him killing the snake, obviously without the gore but just an image. It is still extremely vivid to me 10 years later, and being a curious person with a dream of being a psychologist, I need answers. Any help?

I had same kind of hallucination. I saw a rat on our kitchen flloor, it was very real i didnt know i was hallucinating at the time. I yell at my mom to come look at the rat and then the rat run away very fast away from my seeing. Then my mom came and we look at the house there were no rat. I had no backstory to it or no delusional thinking before it. It just happened when i was in a normal state of mind.

something similar happened to me. I woke up around 4 am and I went in my sister room and laid down,but I didn’t go to sleep.then I heard someone laughing,which the voice was familiar to me so I thought somebody was just staying up,but then I was thinking why is he wide awake at 4 am when he shouldn’t even be in this house?but then I thought maybe they had came over and went to my mama room while I was sleep.A few minutes later my sister came in to get her charger and then I ask her is some one else in mama room,and she said yes, I went to check my phone to see what time was it,and it was 12:37am or 1:37am.and then she walked out the room. I went near my mama room and I was expecting two people to come out of the room but only one left.The two people that was suppose to be in the room was my mama friend and his son but only my mama friend came out.so I asked my mama was his son over here,and she said no,I ask my sister do you remember waking up at 4am telling me that they both was over here,she said no.that really confuses me because I woke up at 4am,heard somebody laughing,my sister walked in and talked to me,I looked at my phone and it went back 3 hours,and when the sun rose up I only see one person come out the room and none of them remembered this.idk if I was hallucinating or not but Idk what to do.

Well I have the jagged lines occasionally ! but I try to go to sleep when I do cause I get scared cause it gets bigger & bigger & starts taking over all of my perception.. (. It starts off just as a small line in the corner of my vision, then the line gets larger & larger & is like a jagged rainbow colours . til I can't really see properly any more! .) But I'm aware that' is suplosed to b a silent migraine according to what I read on Wikipedia? But I've also woke up in middle of night and seen hexagons all over the room it's fascinating and beautiful. I also see auras around people. Even the man in the video. I see a white aura around him. If I concentrate I see more of it out my peripheral. By defocusing if that makes sense. I can see an aura on anything and i also see something like an electric cord across the ground/ close my eyes then that exact same coiled shape of the chord I can see withy eyes closed in a bright white light. .. sometimes I look at something and look away and see that shape in another spot it's really trippy.. I always thought I was seeing energy.. appart from the jagged edge thing . The jagged edge is my eyes not auras.. there's a difference

I went with a friend to an eye doctor once and asked about it. She said. No that's not normal. And started talking about Jesus and stuff.. I'm not into Jesus Christ so much. But I get what she was saying. That some things just can't be explained..

Well, I have schizophrenia, and I'm fairly sure the hallucinations we see are like my icon, which is more of an illusion. I do see things at times, and I ignore them. I think they're from my medication and physical problems (like exposure to cold when I was a teen). I've had my share of delirium and haldol, which makes me undress and act funny. When I was younger, I saw things, too, vividly, a man in a garden who chased me around and muppets and deadheads. I was under a lot of stress as a child and had several fevers and a bunch of antibiotics. I don't know. I have no idea why that was, but doctors have speculated before that I might have epilepsy, and I have a strange wave coming out of my left side. I don't know. I've seen dots before jumping out of the sidewalk. I fell during dance class and was confused for a while. when they put me on an antiseizure med for schizoaffective disorder (mood), I stopped falling. I'll never get the tests done, so it's all schizophrenia, I guess. I'm interested to know why. My brain has rotted from many things.

@@myrmendoza9903 I didn't know I was hearing voices for years. Most schizophrenics are retarded, contrary to what the media says. They don't know anything. They don't even know where they are. I'm high-functioning, and I know what different hallucinations mean. Some are from medicine.

@@z821 Well, the cheerleader who made fun of my math abilities was auditory, and I've been made fun of a lot. The cheerleaders at my school were actually some of the few who were nice to me, however. Cizin, the Maya god, was fear-based, and he appeared during times of extreme stress as a shadow smelling like blood. The guy who was in the garden and in the closet came out of fear because I used to be locked in closets, which my relatives remember, but I don't because I was too young. I developed a relationship with him, and he helps me now in nightmares. The three kids I had as visual and auditory were Russian spirits of dead children. They tricked me. Alma is from a video game, and she was actually a water creature, an animal who took her as a form and tried to get me back in my pod, who used to warn me of threats. She got into trouble for talking to me. They send electric waves out. I don't even want to know. Most of this is gone with medicine and the restructuring it did to my brain, and it's not cool to behold or experience. It is the worst emotional state ever.

@@z821 I had way more visual hallucinations as a kid, but I was sickly and on a lot of medicine, so I don't know. The little man really made me mad. He would come out of nowhere and hit me with a giant rubber hammer. Now I see mostly illusions, sometimes shadows, and sometimes other things I think must be just from medicine. I also have psychological problems with getting cold. One time, while I was on my bicycle, I went straight through a fat man with bleeding hands and didn't think much of it. I was sleep-deprived as a teen, too. To be honest, I've seen some weird shit.
