Just to throw a few out there that I like and/or use: - Alignment (I use "Align to first char" ALL the time) - Error Lens (can actually be a bit annoying, but it really does make warnings and errors stand out a lot more) - Output Colorizer (makes it way easier to read the output) - Partial Diff (don't use this that much, but it's useful being able to diff parts of the same file sometimes) - Peacock (actually never used it, though with the number of VSCode instances I've had open lately, I think I'm going to start...basically lets you change the color of VSCode by window/workspace so you can easily tell them apart at a glance) - PowerShell (because of course) - Project Manager (I don't really set up hardly any projects in it, I just configure the git portion and point it at the root folders where I keep my repos, then I can easily open different projects just by clicking on them) - Rainbow CSV ("syntax" highlighting for CSV files, makes it so you can more easily follow the (still text) contents without having to load them into Excel) - Search Editor: Apply Changes (because I have no idea why they put in the search editor and let you make changes in it but give you no way to apply the changes...this gives you a way to do that) - Transformer (I actually keep forgetting I have it so I don't use it much, but it does a bunch of text transform tricks that can be really useful) - Unicode code point of current character (the number of times some weird non-standard character slipped into a document and screwed something up...this makes it easier to examine if the character you see is actually the character you think it is)

I love the Inspirational quotes extension. To get a quote, simply do Ctrl+Shift+P to open the command pallete, then type in get quote and hit enter. A quote will be generated!

So 10 seconds in, I can already appreciate how you took input from similar videos critics and incorporated the best of the requests (time stamps and downloads). I hope your video gets a million views down the year, you deserve it.

Some useful extensions I wasn't aware of. I'll add them to my dev environment. Thanks! Some of my favorites are Auto Import, JSON Viewer, Thunder Client (for API testing), Rainbow CSV, Settings Sync (Synchronize VSCode settings), and Bookmarks.

Hey, you can find the Pieces keyboard shortcuts here: www.notion.so/getpieces/Keyboard-Shortcuts-cfc6fb26f235410a8b195563e4d44f97

Hi there - I'm Mack, from the Pieces team. This is a great question! You can delete a snippet using the Pieces desktop app by hitting the "delete" or "backspace" key on your keyboard. If you do not have the Pieces desktop app, you can install it from code.pieces.app/install. Our team is currently working on the ability to delete from within VS Code, so look out for that in an update today! If you have additional questions, don't hesitate to reach out to support@pieces.app. Thanks!

@@mackmyers19 PiecesOS failed to install here as it is apparently a sideloaded app. I can give it an exemption, but I don't as a rule give applications exemptions without a good reason.

Hi there - I'm Mack, from the Pieces team. We are currently looking into this issue. In the meantime, there are a few ways to troubleshoot. First, make sure you are using Pieces for VS Code version 0.1.0. If that is the case, please try to uninstall and reinstall the plugin. If that does not work, you can try to restart VS Code. If the problem persists after this, please reach out to us at support@pieces.app so that we can get more information. Thanks so much!

I permanently happen to receive error code=127 whenever i click run code on vscode, whereas I'm sure the python is installed on my mac, since it is shown on terminal. whats the point of demoing coderunner by selecting the entire text and running the whole file, you could have just ran the whole file normally. This doesnt cover scope and any special cases, you're just running the file normally if you do this. You clearly didnt understand the purpose (or difficulty) with using coderunner
