Great stuff. The impact of shoot style on Pro Wrestling and beyond is a topic I’m always interested in and you did a great job laying out Ishikawa’s & Ikeda’s differences and rivalry as a whole. I’ve only seen there 05 match & their 2010 FUTEN tag match but I definitely will get to watching other matches between them now.

Excellent video. Bati-Bati is my obsession so I'm glad that you made a detailed and well-thought video about it. You have even got me thinking about it from a slightly different perspective with the complexity of story-telling within their matches. Just one question though, do you have any details about the management change in Battlarts in 2001, why and who operated the promotion, was Ishikawa still in charge but to a lesser extent?

There’s not allot of information regarding it, and I apologize if I don’t have all the details (if someone wants to correct me, please do) but based on a Reddit Post I found on r/SquaredCircle that discussed BattlARTS, it was due to financial issues where a major sponsor backed out and left Ishikawa in a tough position where they had to run shows more sporadically.
