In today’s culture, people are so afraid or accustomed to not making a negative point at all. It’s despicable and unsettling to me. It wasn’t like this before approximately 2006. If you go back and watch old interviews or what have you, you’ll see how people were much more genuine and honest and not afraid of negativity back then. I think it’s a sign of the times today that people are so afraid because there is so much political tension. It makes me long to live in an earlier time period.

To me its more interesting to expect things are *free by default*. This certainly steam boils the general narrative of “developers” can work for free. That those two things are the same thing is a fallacy some “programmers” simply don’t seem to understand.

"As I mentioned in my own post", which has since been deleted, it seems. Perhaps I'd prefer to be treated as "paying customer" rather than the insincere drivel of being addressed as "friend". I'm guessing that MS didn't like the fact that I pointed to the way they blew this issue off in the Developer Community.

Visual C++ is a part of .NET. This is obviously an unverifiable comparison since their computer probably has more cores or processing power anyway. Did you compare how long it takes to load your same solution in 2022 to how long in 2019? P.S. I could tell 2022 loaded even a little faster for me, if not quite faster. I didn’t time it though.
