To be fair, we dont really know much about Sparkle's full capabilities, a big portion of her character is the mystery behind who and what she is. Either way, the fact that Sparkle was able to land one hit on Vita in their trailer together does show that Sparkle's chaoticness does go a long way at the very least. Idk if she could beat Vita, but I can see where those people are coming from, given what Sparkle's character is supposed to represent

You dont think the Joker can actually beat the Hulk in an arm wrestling do you? But what does the Joker get from it anyway? Does it matter to the Joker? No, because that is elation. Sparkle looks like she is fooling around but in reality she actually just look like that because its the way how she is portrayed as a character that embodies the concept of Elation. Vita can create the same illusionary domain but much more powerful that can command the narrative of story and all the rules will bend to her will to the point that even time itself can be reversed that happened in the main story. And this battle was pre- Vita before fully usurping Sa's authority which means Vita is now at her peak at the current timeline and is next to Finality Kiana in terms of scaling. But why do you think Vita was hit by Sparkle's gears and even Vita throwing herself on Sparkle's playground when she herself can cast an even more powerful domain? Do you think the devs will make a collab character just to show a one-sided battle? Of course not. They made it that way to hype the collab character and the fact that its also called a concept trailer, which means non-canon in hi3 narrative.
