What an exceptional experience it was to see this in 2022. The best music I have seen and heard in many years. I've been hoping for this recording of it for many months, having noticed a camera person with a serious camera creeping about on the night. Beautiful composition. Marvelous performance at Midwest. One of the most stunning modern works I've heard.. You can hear respirators and pulse and then flatline in the strings, followed by sadness and ultimate celebration of life. What a stunning tribute from the composer to the memory of his father's passing.. There were tears in the audience that night. Bravo, all.
