Venezuela has like only 20 olympic medals in history, so usually when somebody wins is a big deal. Particularly now shit is very bad in the country and there is only bad news, so the olympic wins (4 medals!) have been a breath of fresh air. Then also comes Daniel, a super nice, humble guy, that is trying to get people to not look at politics and just focus in the good side of sports, going to the good and bad neighborhoods, in a country that is VERY polarized, so much positivity is highly appreciated and needed. So yes we love him. Probably next year he can go back and don't get a bodyguard 😂

Daniel's bodyguard is an amazing human being, he's volunteer with the highway angels in the city and is always willing to help people out. Highly trained tho. I'm really proud to see him with Daniel! Thanks Daniel for bringing Joy to the whole Country! It's been insane haha I agree! Enjoy as Venezuelans are now all over the world!

of course it's his greatest win .....performance wise and event wise i followed his carrier for many years and that was by far his greatest run (at 36 on the top of that !), and using the fact they were only 9 competing is beyond stupid. 9 left before that they were 10 times mores and it was 3 yrs of qualification all around the word. Fise , Dew Tours even Xgames are not even close to that win. congrats Mirra must be proud , hope youll get gold in 3 yrs .

I've never seen a sportsman been so beloved in Venezuela as Daniel. And I know that for somebody outside Venezuela this is hard to grasp but for millions of Venezuelans what Daniel, Yulimar Rojas, Julio Mayora, Keydomar Vallenilla and all the other Olympians did was the first time in years were this country gave us a reason to be happy and celebrate.
