Maybe my favorite piece. Grew up listening to the Francescatti and Heifetz recordings. This is really a fresh look at this classic.

This is played with so much passion! Everything is so clear, and yet so challenging to play (this is on my programme too since December). Yet, there is also a lot of magic in this piece. Mr. Troussov, this is absolutely an outstanding performance! Most amazing is not only your interpretation of the piece, but in addition your technical mastery of the "Brodsky" Stradivarius. I would implore you record a training video for us novice violinist over your vibrato skills. I am amazed by the varying speeds and warm colors you are able to produce. How do you control such speeds with ease? Again, wonderful performance, and hopefully you will teach the community at large on your various techniques.

I have only heard something similar in Hilary Hahn's performance of the Sibelius concerto.
