I appreciate the technical skills, but I feel that lately you’ve been taking a more cerebral approach than an emotional one in this EP. The technical level is amazing and very polished, but I really miss the profound emotionality I experienced while listening to Ayahuasca, Pagan I, and Pagan II. Those felt like complete, fully rounded compositions that took you on a journey filled with whimsical characters and emotions. I prefer a balance of emotionally satisfying, complete chord progressions complemented by excellent technical skill. I just think that when technicality overtakes emotion, it loses me a little. I love your more melodically developed progressions, personally.
