One thing as you research is the importance of K2 in the mix. D3 in 5000 for a 150 pound person and 10,000iu for 200 lbs is fine. K2 keeps the calcium out of the flesh and into the joints and bone. Israel and the UK have great information in the topic. I have 100 hours into this deep dive. Also advised is to ramp at 2000 iu for 3 weeks and slowly build up the D3 intake. If not raising the blood level takes longer. Mine took 9 months to get from 27 ti 67 @10,000 iu. K2 is important. Lack of D3 causes immune issues, osteoporosis.

Generally, how much should I take vitamin D3 daily and K2 ? - for over age 70 and weighs 127 pounds.

@@pcgentry6418 If you have not started the D3 yet, I suggest 2,000 IU for two weeks and then up to 5000 for your weight. Hitting D3 heavy in the beginning may delay the buildup of D3 in the blood. Go to Ulta Labs which is the wholesale arm of Quest. You can get a draw and a blood level for $30. I am 210 lbs and 65 years old. My D3 level was 27. It took 6 months at 10,000 IU (oil based) to get to 55 level in the blood. I am on 10,000 Iu and on the K2 100mg a day. My wife is 140 lbs and 140 lbs. Took her on the D3 6 months to get to 80 with 10,000 and she backed down to 5,000 IU daily of the D3. The K2 is also 100mg daily for her. I and her have been on the D3 for two years and the K2 at that dose for a year. 20mg of Zinc for cell wall strength daily. 380 x 2 bayer aspirin daily as a blood thinner. If you get Covid, limit fluid intake to 64 oz and stay sedentary. Watch urine color and keep on the yellow side but not dark or light. Why--- at 7 days after symptoms, you will get the cytokine storm. That is the fluid build-up while the immune system carries the antibodies to your system. Overhydration causes immense flem. NO citrus at all. You can develop a rash. My lungs are not the best anyway due to occupational exposure. Had covid twice. Omicron 2 and the latest of 1-10-2023. 10 day total to recover.

I thought it was more of a suggested(?) in that I had a real nasty hemmorhgic stroke almost 5 years ago and while my cognitive attributes came out fine, maybe because the stroke was located in the Cerebellum and not the cerebral node I was still "off" until on my doctors orders I upped my vitamin D intake, now physical issues aside I'm definitely running on all cylinders when it comes to my cognition.

Thank you so much for this video. I am a sixty six year old woman and yesterday I learned that my vitamin D level is 36 ng/ml which my doctor thinks is okay as it is in the normal range! Needless to say I am doing all I can to increase my levels. I was motivated to arrange a blood test because I am aware that many people are deficient and because the mood swings that I have experienced since the menopause have felt hormonal in origin and I wondered if low vitamin D was a contributory factor. I am now supplementing daily with D3 and K2 and I will have a follow-up blood test in six months time. Incidentally I began supplementing about eight weeks before the blood test so I dread to think how low my levels were originally. Best wishes from the UK.

I don't know what research you did but any that I have done indicates that 30 is way too low for good health and especially after covid and maintaining a strong immune system. Good levels apparently are in the 70's and optimal is 100 - 150. It makes a whole lot more sense to increase slowly and regularly than to dump 50k IU's quickly in situations where it is low. Best is not to get there in the first place. The big problem is the recommended amounts. In cold northern climates those levels will never meet optimum for good health and certainly not help with getting to optimal. 4000IU's per day in northern climates especially in winter is a good place to start and monitor according to how you feel.

100 - 150 could be too high. 60 - 80 will do the trick for all practical purposes. 30 is way too low as this number at one time only prevented Rickets. 👍 Rock on

You need no less than 70 Vit D measure .... 30 is way way too low. I live in Australia - Queensland the Sunshine State. My D level was 40 because we avoid the Sun re Skin Cancer. I took 4000IU's and a K2 capsule daily with 2 walnuts and a Brazil nut for the fat soluble need absorption - got the number up to 70 in 4 months.... We dont make Vit D in the skin unless exposed and we avoid skin exposure so the Vitamin D capsules do work.... one day they may find the Sunscreen is a cognitive issue !

This medication gabapentin nearly killed me. I have a Your logical system issue that under certain conditions, I will pee out more calcium and potassium, and I retain. Fortunately, gabapentin in my body triggered this mechanism, and I very nearly died due to a very extreme form of calciuria where I lost nearly 100% of my buddy's systemic blood potassium--- I also have Parkinson's disease, and it was initially prescribed/ recommended for nerve pain/RLS ... I'm not sure but now, five and six years later, I still am experiencing some impact on migraine from this drug even though I have not been taking it for many years. Caution is Absolutely recommend it!!!😮 Glad to see this review in this your articles, patricia

Do you have to bring GOD into EVERY SINGLE DISCUSSION you encounter?!!? Even when discussing vitamin D?!!? You one of those religious fanatics who can't THINK for themselves?!!? Been brainwashed and indoctrinated?!!? Got ya!!! Not EVERYBODY believes in God, first of all. Secondly, even believers, like myself, who have NOT been completely brainwashed and indoctrinated, we don't OBSESS about God and the so-called Church. Greedy so-called preachers?!!? NO THANKS!!! Nothing but liars and hypocrites!!! And, they are also extremely arrogant, hateful, judgmental, self righteous, holier than Thou acting, and the list goes on and on and on. I'll pass!!! Lmao!!! And, just because I don't want to have ANYTHING to do with greedy so-called preachers and the hypocritical so-called saints, does NOT mean that I am somehow NOT right with God Almighty. I am about as close to God as anyone could ever be. In fact, I'm CLOSER to God than I ever was (in the past) when I was involved with the so-called Church. Ya know?!!? Go figure!!! God has literally NOTHING to do with the greedy so-called preachers!!! NOTHING!!! Jesus said that it would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a RICH man (or woman) to enter into heaven. FACT!!! But, yeah, the so-called preachers couldn't care less!!! They don't really even believe the man made book, themselves. SMDH!!! 🤯🤥🤑🙄🤮🤢😡🤬💩
