If you ask anyone who bought a Vitamix blender - I bet that most if not all will tell you that it's worth every penny!!!
I've had mine over a year now and use it a few times a week to make fruits and Vegetable smoothies and other recipes and I can honestly say that this
blender is as good and powerful as day 1 ...I love it!!!
I must admit that the smartest thing that I've done in a long time was to get this Vitamix-5200 blender and started the green (fruits & vegetables) smootie diet ... I've also started to cut back alot of the bad (and junk) foods, eating cleaner and smaller portions.
Before the VitaMix and the smoothies, It was very difficult to get my daily vitamins and nutrients from vegetables and fruits ... I just wasn't able to eat or get enough of them. Because of my lifestyle I would always end up eating out (fast-foods, junk foods etc).
But now, with each glass of smoothie, I know that I'm getting a glass of potent nutrients - my mind and body feels great - I'm not getting tired... it's the greatest feeling!
I can't believe that I've been neglecting and mistreating my body for so long... :(
Trust me, it's never too late to start taking care of your body.. start now!!!
Note: After the watching the documentary, I started to make smoothie with a blender that I already had (a pretty good one) ...but it just wasn't powerful enough to. I did alot of research and finally decided on the VitaMix 5200 - it's solid, powerful, durable and easy to clean, It also has a 7 year warranty.
I've been putting my VitaMix through everything - since I was new to all this - I've been experimenting with all vegetable, fruites, nuts ...and the blender has perform flawlessly as day 1!
I would recommend the VitaMix to anyone... in fact, two of my family friends have also brought one each!

I've had my Vitamix® 5000 for quite some time now. Not cheap but worth every penny IMO. The key to benefiting from the excellent smoothies this machine makes, is consistency in your consumption of them. I started making my veggie smoothies once again after a hiatus of several months to a year, and I started to feel much better after less than 24 hours from resuming them. No kidding.

10 years later, I'm watching this while my new Vitamix TNC 5200 is on its way to me. However, there are only like 2 shops in Europe that have it - which shows in the price. I had to spend about 730 Euros plus shipping on it. I suspect, I could've received one of the newer "smarter" models for that price, however, I do trust the simplicity of this industrial design way more than the electronics in the new ones, not to mention that independent tests consistently show that the tall, narrow container yields better results than the wide low profile containers that come with the newer models. In short, from what I've seen, I'm convinced that the 5200 is still the best blender Vitamix has ever produced.

That Vitamix is the best blender ever.. But there is a difference between the wet and dry blender I suggest before you buy one ask the manufacture which would be best for you and your lifestyle purpose... I bought mines form QVC cause I could only afford it by making payments on it

great presenter! l was going to buy one but instead bought the ladyship LVT 866, which revolves at 32,000rpm, it looks almost identical, but at more than half the price.! sure the vitamix machine is better but price difference, it cant be like 2.5x better!

I want one as well, but lets ask ourselves: is there a reason in nature that certain seeds and non digestible portions of fruits and vegetables are that way? Just because you CAN crush a seed up doesn't mean it is healthy to do so or even a good idea. Headline in 5 years: your green drink is killing you slowly

My hometown is Cleveland, where the vitamix is manufactured, purchased it to support local jobs. For the cloudy issue, I purchased the australian VM container which is a made from different type of plastic.

This guy is such a great salesperson. But after seeing that he had to use the stick to force food down and how long it took to blend, I decided to go with the Blendtec. I love my Blendtec and have no regrets. Both brands are seriously great blenders. For me, it came down to convenience and design. But whichever one you choose, I'm sure you will love it.

Darren Jones I'm just a regular consumer stating my opinion and experience. I have nothing to gain or lose from people buying the Vitamix or the Blendtec. But for your information, I've never had problems with food getting stuck with the Blendtec. Thus, a stick was not necessary.

***** ALL blenders can suffer from cavitation if there's not enough liquid in the mix, which means the food may need to be forced into the blades on occasion. The Blendtec is a good blender but it is inferior, in many ways, to the Vitamix. Google is your friend. There are hundreds of reviews online comparing the two, and the Vitamix almost always is the preferred blender.

I didn't make a comparison between the two. If you interpreted my comment as making a comparison between the two blenders, then you have low standards for what classifies as a comparison. I was simply stating my reason for why I chose a Blendtec over a Vitamix. And to add, even if I was making a comparison and had not owned a Vitamix, it does not make my comparison wrong or false. When you write a research paper about a country but you have not been there, does it make your research paper less valid? Of course not. To claim that an argument is invalid based on the author's experience would be a logical fallacy - ad hominen.

yakadee1 I've done extensive research prior to choosing the Blendtec over the Vitamix. My friends own the Vitamix and I have spoken to them about it. One of the main reasons why I chose the Blendtec over the Vitamix was due to Vitamix's patent infringement of Blendtec's jar. It makes one wonder why a "superior" brand would try to copy an "inferior" brand's design. Also, Vitamix had been misleading consumers for a while regarding the origin of their parts. After some public attention, they finally labeled their products as "70% American-made" instead of "Made in USA." I've also considered other factors, such as convenience and design (which I find the Blendtec is more suited for MY needs). The Blendtec also has a higher blending power than the Vitamix. However, this factor was irrelevant because both blenders are so powerful that the Blendtec's higher blending power doesn't really have a practical use (unless you want to blend your IPad). I've thought logically about this, and did research regarding the practical uses (as well as legal history) of both brands. There's no reason for any of you to get offensive over my simple comment of why I chose the Blendtec over the Vitamix. I even said both are great blenders. Let your judgement and common sense guide you. Sometimes, the mass isn't always right, and public ignorance is a reality (talking in general term here).

They need to invest in him...maybe a degree in nutrition would make him more creditable but he was truly amazing...refine him a bit and not too much leave him "raw" lol and he will sell these machines fast! I been trying to decide if I wanted a juicer or this I think I will for sure purchase this one! Almond butter cost me $5 a month???I also buy almonds. I just read a study done by Harvard Public Health saying is cost $500 to eat a healthy diet vs a poor diet...I found a way to say my money and cut cost on a healthy diet. I'm in college and this will be my staple kitchen appliance.

I really like it! It is worth every penny. I use it a lot to make ice cream and juice. I was most surprised at being able to make juices in it and how it's able to pulverize tiny bits and pieces.

It is virtually impossible to have any change in PH from your diet. As your body will just take the excess alkalinity or acidity in your body and throw it out in your urine.

It should really be common knowledge, but people insist on perpetuating ignorance for various reasons. Some people just have no moral qualms about exploiting people like my mother, who had breast cancer that spread to her spine, putting her in severe pain. They're more interested in their own delusions about how they're "beating the system" by eating "healthy", when all they're doing is playing right into the hands of people who can easily afford unscrupulous marketing.
