They do!!! And if you go to the Vitamix website, they sell refurbished units that are fantastic.

@@chela247 You’re welcome. They may be having another sale closer to Black Friday but, I’m not a 100% sure and if they do, I’m not sure how much better of a sale it’ll be than any other time of the year. I’ve kind of bee watching their sales, they seem to be $100 (maybe +) off most of the time

You can!! I've made so many soups over the years. I also own a stainless steel container that I like to use when I'm making hot things. But the plastic also works just as well. As long as you run the blender for a few minutes, it will build up some nice heat and you're left with a yummy, steamy soup!!
