You could just add a metal skid plate for the vitavon axle so it wouldn't scratch on it

I got my black Vitavon rear axle yesterday, and yeah, the bearings are hard to get in, but my gear mesh is absolutely fine. I looked this video before, but now I see, that the bearing of your bevel gear is not completely in. It has to be flat. With tiny hammer blows, you can get it completely in and than everything works fine.

Yea I found out other peoples actually came with a small shims to make the gear mesh better but mine didn’t.. yes I used a small rubber hammer to get the bearing all the way in eventually.. but the shims would have been helpful for the gear mesh. No clue why mine didn’t come with them…

@@bigalrc I install my axle a few moments ago. In my case, everything works pretty fine. It runs very smooth without shimming. 👍🏻 So you drive around further with your strong gear mesh?

@@melo_pro yea I was told to just run it and it will loosen up. Only gone through two packs since though.. gonna run some more soon

@@bigalrc Okay, I'm curious to see how long this goes well. You can then report here, if it should break sometime. Btw, the axle doesn't come with shims.

I wonder if the anodize parts are too thick causing clearance issues

So I talked to some other people about it and they said their rear vitavon axle came with two shims to make the gear mesh less tight.. I talked to vitavon and they said just run it. Haven’t had a problem yet..
