I literally o-ring the outters and pinion output, drill a hole and thread a micro grease zerk into the planet and diff to be able to grease it. 50hrs hard driving and no issue yet. Good on you for taking the time to share this. Thanks!

Better add, also added zerks to center trans in 2 spots, and top of front diff cover and right stuff seal flanges and o-rings on all outputs. Also added traxxas blue silicon CV boots to ALL cv points. Remember folks, it's the heat that breaks stuff, these planetary systems spin hot and fast. Don't over run the car. Give it cool downs.

How’d you get the 8 tiny bearings out of those two plastic halves? Got a bearing kit but couldn’t get those 8 tiny bearings out. I noticed if you tighten the pumpkin halves together to tight the rear axle will not turn as freely.

sounds like your axle warped from heat.. happened to me.. had to buy a whole new rear axle.

I just replaced the pinion and spur gear as they had missing teeth and now the rear tires aren’t spinning as fast as the front, did replace the center drive shaft from front as well, any ideas?

The process for rebuilding will be the same once you have got the assembly out

Got the same problem on my udr... the head of the screw is snapped off

Depending on where it is sometime you can cut a slot or have to drill out

Depends on how much use and abuse the truck gets and what conditions you run it in. When it starts to sound a little noisy or gears feel notchy we would take a look.

There's nowhere near enough grease in that axle housing.
