Can you afford cat 2? If yes then try for CSE in VIT Chennai. Also if you opt for specialisation, you may get cat 1 in Chennai. Even Bhopal and AP are good options. If you want to go for core only and that too in cat 1, you can choose any of these 2. But I suggest to go for cat 2 if affordable for you otherwise go for a specialisation. Hope this helps. No, thats the problem. They will allot what they want. I don't think ranking matters at all. I did not get EC Biomedical at 11.9 K rank. Whereas students with 17 K got it in Category 1. Try Your Luck!

@@1102pv Yes first you have to choose lower category one, then only you will be able to choose higher category one. For example, if you want to go for CSE in Chennai, you have to select cat 1 first, then cat 2, then 3 and so on as long as you wish. They will allot the lowest possible one.

It's not possible in Chennai or Vellore. You can still get it in Bhopal and its also a good option. In Bhopal you can easily get core as well. For specialisation, if you are interested in them more than core, I'll suggest AI or Cloud.

@@bhavya19sharma nope, both have same placements as Chennai ki placements bhi Vellore hi hai, and degree pe bhi Vellore hi likha hoga, the only reason people discourage it is cause repo Vellore ki hai, culture Vellore ka hai and campus life, fests, clubs etc Vellore ke prominent hai, else academics mein it's all same
