He is used to combat more than Joe does, Joe just carries a gun and was used to be carrying it to threat it more than actually in necessary for needed it because he was to busy enjoying the luxury of the life than actually putting up his hands on the dirty business of the job. Remember that Joe wouldn't got where he got without Vito and his skills, Vito wouldn't get his money without Joe's connections. Its a pretty win win situation for both of them.

​@@olofman300 I like characters who feels the weight of every death he made throughout the story, like Aiden Pearce, Arthur Morgan, Joel and Niko. But at the same time these games give these characters a nod to them, like they were experienced enough to when you literally just starting playing as them, you character is already a pro. I like how in Mafia Remake for example, in order to not make Tommy be a John Wick style of killer in the game, they toned down a lot of stuff and made him clunckier on which I guess it fits the overall place of the character better. Tommy has no firearms background and it is actually the only one character who has development in Mafia series on which we see him changing from a innocent driver to a great gunman. It kinda explains why the aiming so bad and etc

There is one plot hole I feel like exists in this mission. If a big Mafia organization are renting a floor in a public hotel, why would they conduct business that has to revolve around someone getting their ass handed to them, and subsequently making a "mess" in one of the rooms? It doesn't seem like the janitors would've even been needed otherwise. Now with two outside men, they could've been less stupid. I mean, perhaps Clemente is designed to be full of himself, however, not checking the room the two janitors just cleaned sounds ignorant.

Vito seemed to see things through so he objected the decision to add Marty in this mission.
