Very few metal bands have guitar solos that are the climax of their songs. Usually they’re just showing off their technical abilities without adding anything musically. Vitriol is different; the solos are filled with extreme emotion and passion that take the songs to another level.

And honestly, and this is not to take away from Vitriol and metal in general, the basic musical concepts on display in music such as this, have been explored already in other genres, like classical, avant garde jazz, and even noise music up to a point, which is not to say that metal isn't putting its own spin on things and developing the ideas further, but their certainly are parallels and similar explorations which have taken place already. Again, humans.

Vitriol reminds me of the Death Metal I fell in love with when I was a kid. From their first e.p, Antichrist I think actually under the old name, Those Who Lie Beneath, I have kept a close eye on them and now they are getting the recognition and respect they deserve. @@marcus2239 the only original member of TWLB in Vitriol is Kyle (guitar, vox) and maybe Scott (drums), but on Antichrist Adam (bass, vox) joined with everyone except Kyle leaving making the band a 3-piece. Then, when Vitriol was created Scott came back and then they found the 2nd guitarist Mike.
