I think this comes from the idea of hard hits being the only way for dancing to show effort or skill . Redlic focuses on fast almost messy movements to battle instead of style and performance. fast movements packed into 40 secs just made her look like a toddler demanding to be called the winner instead of actually showing shes the winner. She didnt let anything breath or form to even be saw as impressive. Latrice showed a bit of bite....musicality...style..skill..and unbothered attitude. Hope she learns from this shes too much of a VET to be known now for this.

see this is the thing: international dancers are very much trained to freestyle more. like if u ever been to a dance class in LA, the choreographers there always tell eveyone to freestyle for the first 8 count or the last two 8 counts of the dance, so it's instinctual. a lot of dancers in korea don't do that - unless they're told. thus only the good battles we've seen from korean dancers on swf2 are those who are experienced in battling because they know how to play around with the music more

Other than the kick/turn she did Redlic is all hair flipping unless she has a working 8 count to do. When they do their routines, I give credit where credit is due. Their team is hot!! But as a solo dance “meh”. One of her other battles with a girl was just a whole lotta staring at the girl and hair flipping 🤣🤣🤣. I feel also Latrice is holding back! This is the problem with many of the dancers there. They limited their knowledge with Dance. There are Street dancing, kpop style formations, and choreographers. Don't get me wrong when I say this I'm not calling others untalented, but they need to broaden their horizon more about the career they chose to do. I've seen many videos of how a good amount of the dancers in the show just have little idea on what they're doing and it's pretty disappointing how little they have in creativity. Everyone has their weakness duh nobody is a perfect dancer, but man some of these dancers and it's popular ones too that are...not captivating?

Yes, I noticed it, too. With only a few teams changing it up, we see a lot of repetitive dances, especially from groups like wolf lo, mannequin, and lady bounce. Lady bounce tries better than the other to actually because their dancing techniques are more diverse. Like they have someone that can portray cute, hip hop, and afro dances, which is better than the other two groups mentioned. I also feel like some teams are afraid of being feminine like most noticeable wolf lo, who get embarrassed when doing anything sexy or feminine. It's good to be pop, but embracing femininity is not bad either. It's a pity tsubaki kill was eliminated they were a well-rounded team.

@@yvetteduru5120 Of course Wolflo and Mannequeen are going to stick to hiphop and waacking, those are their specialty skills in the same way Jam Republic uses afro dance a lot. It's not unusual that a crew on a competition will stick to what they do best, and it's only Tsubakill, 1Million and arguably LadyBounce that have versatile but mainstream styles. For Mannequeen especially, that argument barely makes sense. Yes, they have 3 waackers on the team, but they also have Korea's former best female krumper, a heels goddess and aespa's choreographer, so waacking, krump, heels and 'kpop'. Even the 3 waackers all have a distinctly different style: Cera has her ballet/ballroom influence, hence her leg moves and spins, Wackxxxy is really big on popping and locking and Yoonji is probably the most 'mainstream' out of the 3 and would be best described as 'open style' I'd say.

Her lines werent sharp and you could clearly see that even latrice was confused as she did not understand how redlic was "dancing".
