As a City fan whose favorite player is Miedema, this is a *dream come true!* I'm also concerned that Taylor isn't as open to player input, BUT he isn't arrogant like Jonas and he seems to fully support and utilize players strengths. Watching both teams closely this past season (watched Arsenal for the players I like on that team!), Taylor wasn't over-strategizing trying to respond to what other teams were doing like Jonas constantly seems to do so erratically. Taylor was putting players where they were strong and allowed them to learn from errors in that role to keep cohesion in the team play. Like he explained when he was on the pod, that strategy is exactly why Keating was SO successful in goal because he allowed her to learn how to handle the pressure instead of pulling her as a starter at the first sign of struggle, and I think we all saw how well that worked out! City is going to be SCARY upfront next year and I'm sooooo excited to see them go for the title and be competitive in the champion's league.

Agree that when montemuro was selected coach for Lyon, that it would suit Vivs stated criteria. Longtime fans now in the awkward position of wanting her to do well at citeh, but wanting arsenal to do better than citeh. Just hoping jonas isnt our stumbling block

There's soooooo much talent at Arsenal and Jonas seems to mismanage it way too much. Love the players on that team, but he's the reason why I've been hesitant to fully commit to the Gooner life lol

We needed Vivianne SO much more than Jonas. Jonas is easily replaceable, nothing special at all. He should have been shown the door the minute he suggested losing Viv was okay. It's going to be a season of watching Blackstenius fluff the chances created by McCabe and Foord.

Losing Miedema has shattered any faith I had in the management of the Arsenal women's team. The Swedes are so over-rated as managers, their ideas are a decade out of date. I wish Viv the very best, I can't wait to see her play with Mary Fowler.
