Thompson, Cozens, Krebs on the roster now. Kulich, Östlund, and Savoie in the minors. I’d say center is actually one of the better parts of the Sabres. I would say our weakness is Top 4 D and goalie right now. Power needs a proper partner and UPL and Levi need to prove themselves long term

I broke my foot in 2020 after falling down the stairs and could not put weight on it for 3 weeks. Even after that, it was still super weak and painful, but bearable. To this day, it still twinges while walking long distances and if I step onto even the slightest of uneven ground, it pops and hurts so bad. I cannot imagine playing hockey on that, I’m assuming they tape and support that foot as much as physically possible so it doesn’t move and shift. Insanity.

Many years ago, a Buffalo fanatic told me Jack Eichel would have his name written on the Stanley Cup before Connor McDavid after their draft, boy I laughed in his face at the time, I just don't think he realized Eichel would be doing it with another team. Jack Eichel's first playoff appearance, his team beats Connor McDavid's team in the second round, on the way to his first Stanley Cup final appearance, and eventual Cup victory. Boy if I'm Buffalo, I AM SOME SORTA BUTT HURT RN!

Adam's point about the Sens being in debt is very true. My Dad used to work with the Sens and their foundation so he had a rough idea of how Melnyk operated the business side. He also said that in a lot of instances the money that was raised would just go back into the business to pay off his debts. Melnyk was hemorrhaging money from the Sens and his other business ventures. I also believe that the Athletics' expose last summer on Melnyk confirmed a lot of these suspicions.

There is indeed one player who has played games for both the Kraken and the Golden Knights, and that is Derrick Pouliot. He played 2 games for the Golden Knights and was placed on waivers and claimed by Seattle. Seattle then played him for 9 games to finish off that season, after which he signed in San Jose. Watching the post game interviews, I think it's very telling that both O'Reilly and Eichel have said similar things about not enjoying the game anymore and finding the line again after leaving Buffalo. I believe this actually puts a lot into perspective for Toronto. Vegas are built to play big, and they have players who are physically imposing, but they can skate well and are gifted both offensively and defensively. Vegas also built their team being cut throat in the way they traded and signed players and coaches maybe tarnishing some reputations along the way but it worked. Treliving and Toronto have to take this same mindset and well when it comes to ever facet of this team from head coaching to players. If you want to be here play that way but if Treliving doesn't see it working he doesn't have to be nice about it either and look for the best possible deals to make this team better even if that means you trade a core player. You can't tell me if Tmrw or next week if Vegas knew that a player like Marner might be available and they would be willing to give you Marchessault, Rielly Smith, and Nic Hague for him, you can't tell me you would say no to that because it would make the Leafs so much better. Look at all options and step on some toes make the players uncomfortable. If you have to get rid of Keefe to do it then you do it.

if there is anything that Bruce Cassidy and Paul Maurice have proved this seaon is that, Coaches are only as good as the team the GM built. Playing hurt. It's crazy how hockey players can do this. Everyone remember the destroyed foot xray from Nichushkin?

Obviously Vegas expansion wasn't great for Florida but you have to understand the time. The year B4 they signed Hub and Trocheck to long term deals. While next year Ekblad was due a big boy contract. Marchessault had a 30g season. They choose to move them for cap space. Likely saved 10 million to give to Ekblad anyways.
