After being deleted as Greg's wife in the revision patch release from earlier in the year. The devs are lazy, so they just reused her character with a few tweaks.. and meeting Greg triggers her to "remember" her old life. And thus begins her quest to overtake the gods of Azerim to ascend to kill the game devs in real life.. ala Tron.

For being D&D novices I love that they dive in with story telling for NPCs and the way these women help drive the story to not just be.... like attack this, roll dmg. They really have embraced and are showing how a great DM can make what could be a boring by the numbers fight into such an interesting watch. I'm sure Rob would appreciate her expertise it was was right, though. It could be a bit pedant but still interesting. Here she came with the preconception that Rob, as a "gamer", wouldn't know about real horses, and she mistook her expertise with modern horse riding with the kind of extensive research that D&D players have been doing for decades, because obviously the critique isn't new. It's not about suspending disbelief in this case, it's about accepting that maybe your DM also has knowledge about that kind of things, even if it's a D&D player and a man.

I love how the girls aren't burdened by the knowledge of their skills yet. I mean to say that the boys 'mostly' know what to expect of their skills and spells and such and are much less likely to just make something up whereas the girls are still exploring and constantly trying to be creative about things like with the druids using the trees and the log - however unsuccessful that is. Even small things like Bubble's bottle having kinda been tipped over. And it's wonderful that Rob just feeds into it with such enthusiasm. Don't get me wrong. I love the boys' D&D campaign as well. They make me laugh every time. It's just nice to see the differences.

Hey Rob, Constitution saves for concentration checks make sense when you see constitution as your ability to deal with pain. You can be very wise or intelligent but its going to be very hard to concentrate if you're in pain because somebody just shot an arrow in you. Higer constitution would make it a lot easier to brush that off and keep concentrating on what you're doing.

I think it can be ok for players to suggest changes like that. But if you do it because you think you have expertise, you need to respect the DM, because maybe they have more specialized expertise on the topic. Maybe they just did it that way without thinking about it and they'll value your input, but here, in my opinion, it was more a case of Britt not realizing that maybe Rob is the kind of DM to have investigated horse riding and read countless threads on the topic by D&D players even more passionate about the topic. Now let's say some player with expertise on boats tell Rob that they'd want to make a specific kind of knot that would let them control the sails more easily, I'm sure Rob can accept it even if he didn't envision it like that. "can I do this thing that we can do in the real world?". When the horse does something like rearing up, maybe the right reaction would have been "wow that's an impressive horse, that's not what most horses would do".

I love that Britt is a Dhampir. One of my favourite characters was a Dhaampir swashbuckler Rogue named Mighlo. He was forever aged 12 and was obsessed with eating the colour blue. It got him into all sorts of trouble.

I am on Britt's side on the horse argument. Even though the leader of the local militia is specified as mounted on a Warhorse, it is a bit like claiming the local militia in a modern small village have an Abrams tank at their disposal. It is unlikely that the Warhorse in question was actually a fully trained combat veteran willing and ready to trample down undead.
