Enchanting! I hope to be playing this beauty in the near flute-ture....

Go for it! For a little money, it could be called, YOUR Vivaldi flute. Still have my starry night 6 years later with zero signs of degradation. And mine's been in the dry mountains of Colorado for years! Not a single crack and sounds better every day!

Hi Erik, I received my Vivaldi Minor in Starry Night finish one week ago and I absolutely love it. The finish is beautiful, the night skies are another passion of mine, so it really speaks to me. I started playing the Native American style flute a little over a year ago, and I have never played a transverse flute before, but after hearing this flute I had to challenge myself. I'm finding it easier than I thought to play, even with chronic numbness in my lips. I think I'll be able to put up some decent recordings within a few weeks. Little did I know when I started this flute journey in Feb of 2019 that it would lead me here to you and these flutes, I'm already contemplating my next adoption. Thank you so much for this great instrument and all the good you do in the world, music will heal us all! Take care of you and yours, stay safe, healthy and surrounded by love and music!

Have listened to many of your recordings. This is my favorite! Love the range you coax from the Vivaldi! Can tell you enjoy playing it. Will add one to my collection soon. My sons treated me to one of your cocobolo penny whistles in 'D' a few years back. Was blown away by it's range and voice! Was also touched by your recent video mentoring Genesis in flutemaking and purchased one of the flutes she crafted. Her eagerness to learn and positive attitude are impressive. Please tell her it has a special place in my collection and I enjoy playing it very much. Especially like the artwork engraved on the flute and the case she decorated! Please convey my thanks and best wishes. Will keep her and you and your family ministry in my prayers. God bless you for sharing your talent and gifts!

Thanks Christopher, we sure enjoyed our 7 months with Genesis and miss her dearly. Her updated story is at eriktheflutemaker.com/blogs/articles/meet-genesis As to the Vivaldi Flute, I think its one of the neatest flutes we have created. Regards, Erik

Absolutely beautiful music, I love it. I bought one of your alto sax-recorders many years ago. Unfortunately, because of poor health including arthritis I have difficulty reaching out my fingers to cover the sound holes completely further down on my instrument. I was hoping that maybe you could give me some tips that might help. Also, do you happen to have any teaching videos online that I could watch? I’m glad to see that you are still online. God bless you. Sincerely, Miguel

Hi Miguel: Here is a long video that helps with many of our instruments including our bamboo sax. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2TCYWampKepm7c All the best, Erik

Erik do you think that this flute with the last hole on the back of the flute could be more comfortable?
@ErikTheFlutemakerCom7 жыл бұрын
Hi Yunior. If we are talking about the Vivaldi Minor, it does not have a back hole. And thus easier to play. The high do is all closed and first finger up. Regards, Erik

Congratulations a formidable song !!! I absolutely want a flute to learn the song in question! Better in fiber or bamboo? Can you tell me which one plays a better sound? Thank you

They both sound great! Erik

Hi Mauro: Both are great. For those in rough places on bamboo like deserts and very cold, Carbon Fiber will last. There is a lot of personal warmth in bamboo that is treasured also. I once stuck a sax in the snow to see how it would do. No problem that day. But not advised. Regards, Erik

I just bought a Vivaldi Minor flute , and the thought occurred to me... What key is it tuned to?
@ErikTheFlutemakerCom6 жыл бұрын
The Carbon fiber Vivaldi Flute is in G# minor. Most of my bamboo Vivaldi flutes come out a bit deeper. They are tuned to themselves. Regards, Erik

The Carbon Fiber Vivaldi is in G# minor. The bamboo Vivaldi's usually a bit lower by 20 cents. So closer to the A432 tuning.

What is the name of the backing track?
@ErikTheFlutemakerCom7 жыл бұрын
Hi Cayden. It was an improvisation by Harald Peterstofer, a composer in Austria. I asked him to send me a Brazilian sounding piece in G# minor. Regards, Erik
