I wanna get this headset for its eye and face tracking but I’m so used to pancake lenses. What headset did you have before and how do you truly feel about the it’s sweet spot. Thanks 😅

My headset of choice before was the Valve Index. How I feel about the Focus Vision’s sweet spot is kinda meh due to the fact they’re square shaped to give you a wider field of view. However I’m used to fresnel lenses so switching from an Index to the Focus Vision was no problem other then adjusting and getting used to the lenses

In the market because my quest 3 has bricked 3 times now and has been replaced in a year with refurbished units by warranty. My warranty is running out next month and I fear I am preparing to make the jump away from quest as one of the bricks was from their own software and when asked about how it would have gone if I didn’t have the warranty it would “Only be a fee of 150$ but because you have your warranty you have no need to worry about that.” I find that response gross. I know this is much more expensive but I plan on getting the extended warranty from wherever I buy it from so I don’t have the worries of the quest. Looking at all options still and weighting them out.

@ normally I feel I’m pretty lucky with all my tech. When red ring of death hit Xbox I was missed, when Samsung phones were blowing up mine stayed cool as a cucumber, but this time I’m in the crosshairs of Metas death screen which I cannot escape.

I bought one a couple days ago and it gives me a massive headache and my eyesight is messed up after I take off the headset. Do you have any idea what’s causing that? Is it the auto IPD or something?

I don’t believe the IPD adjustment is the cause. My guess is how tight you have it on your head and how it’s positioned. These fresnel lenses can take some time getting used to as well
