The argument I hear about not wanting Vivek to be VP is that it is a hollow post. The VP does nothing. The VP only does nothing if the P says so. In terms of the public, that is how it has largely been. The VP is not the public face, does not do the work out in the open. When you have a second term to run for, that's probably smart. You want to be the focus. There is no second term here. Overshadowing is not an issue. Make him the VP and let him do what a deputy or XO does, make crap happen while the boss makes final decisions. Vivek could absolutely make crap happen. Cut him loose as the 2IC, back his calls, take credit when you want, "reign him in" when appropriate for publicity's sake. Enjoy the good cop bad cop routine. Vivek is one of the few "politicians" that is sufficiently in-your-face as to allow Trump to take the role of "good cop." Take advantage of it! Get him the on-the-job training and set us all up for an additional 8 years of no-nonsense national recovery and growth, both economically and culturally.

He's 100% right. However, Vivek isn't really appreciating the reality on the ground here. There's a very good reason for the fear. Corporate America has turned into an environment where if you speak those opinions out loud, they'll heap so much punishment upon you that you'll be functionally run out of your home. You'll lose your job, you'll get blacklisted from employment in the town or city you live in, and you'll be denied services left and right. Unless you live in an area that's supermajority Republican, this is just the reality that we've had to live with for the past decade. I've seen this happen to people I know. And I know a lot of ya'll have seen it, too. Crowder is correct in the perception that since Vivek is a minority, he can't be as easily affected by this kind of punishment, because the leverage leftists use is our moral principle that discrimination based on skin color or immutable characteristics is wrong. Vivek is *also* correct that if everyone were to stand up, and tell the people doing this that we don't give a shit anymore, it would break. The power these cretins have over us is self inflicted because they've exploited a weak point in our morals versus our system of government, and we need to toughen up and tell them no more.
