The fact that you do these kinds of videos proves how much you can break barriers when it comes to the natural hair community. You go the extra mile for us to try a hairtstyle of a person who has different textured hair than yours, and your hairstyle turns out well is very satisfying to watch. We love you too Viv! ❤And we hope that you get a million subs by the end of the year. Love from Jamdung🇯🇲

I agree. I hope we can also get to the point where the reverse is true. A YTber who was white with straight hair had to remove her video that was similar, because she tried braids and braid outs from a natural hair creator, and was shamed and attacked. She wasn't appropriating anything, simply doing what Viv did here. Hair could bring us together, not divide us, we could all have fun learning from one another. It might help us see we are more alike than different. I love what Viv does. You can't help but smile watching her, we all need that too.

I guess it is just hair weaving. I would apply some of these to friendship bracelets with embroidery thread or paracord or even try it with willow twigs to make a decorative something or other to glue to something else. I wonder if anyone has tried Chinese or Celtic knotwork on the hair using pins ?

BUT showing these braids on natural hair shows whether you want to even waste your time on these hairstyles. Shrinkage is SO realllll and it is often hard for me to know what styles to even attempt. I hate to have to resort to heat, but end up doing it becauz not too confident in styles for hair w shrinkage. So I LOVE her doing styles on her natural hair, even thought it is not in it's natural state in this braid tutorial.

@@telisah9611 it's not even natural hair. I'm white and my hair is curly (2A/2B I think?) and there's no way I can do any but the regular 3 strand braid or a rope braid unless my hair is either wet or I've straightened it. If I don't it turns out halfway between the blonde woman and viv's results. Oh and when you truly straight hair, you actually have to things to ADD texture, so the strands don't just slip right out of the braid you just spent so long putting in.

The five strand braid looked so cool in your hair! I used to do the 3D chain and 4 strand braids a lot in high school. I especially liked to use a ribbon in the 4 strand

I really like how you show the similarities and differences between your hair textures and others. I have very curly hair and pancaking does work for me either! 🥞
