Ohhh yessss!!! Used to watch this MAGICAL production all the time in my childhood. Viviana remains the One and Only Sleeping Beauty for me. She embodies her role as the king & queen’s young daughter. Exquisite dancing.

She's utterly brilliant and had this part down to the tee. Being exactly the right body type for this sort of thing also must have helped. PS love the old production design btw, couldn't be done today and more's the pity.

God bless KZbin. I'd never seen Durante before and she just blew me away. 2:47 when she looks at the last prince and is like "I don't need your help. I can balance in attitude all by myself!". Ballet is the most sublime when the most difficult choreography seems like the most natural thing in the world and Durante achieves this in spades.

Simply the best Rose Adagio performance of all time in McDowell's Nureyev choreographed Sleeping Beauty (1994) Absolutely stunning. The most difficult piece in all ballet to perform.

@@jillwhite6875 yes she was. I still remember her in Manon with him and I have them both on DVD in Mayerling. Viviana and Irek both taught my daughter at the RBS summer school several years ago. I was just as excited (if not more) than she was !!😂🤩
