Ah, the talent in this golden generation of Dutch women!!! A player like Jill Roord can't break into the starting lineup!!! It's a pity that due to lack of form & injuries the Orange Lionesses couldn't showcase their enthralling brand of football in the recent World Cup. Still they managed to scrape through to the final after eking out narrow ugly wins. Barca must sign up Miedema next season using Lieke Martens and Stefanie van der Gragt. We will have a forward line of Martens on the left, Miedema in the centre and CGH on the right. That is footballing nirvana!!! Has there been a holier trinity in the game ever?

@@lesliejim4243 Don't think so. She wil definitely want to play in a technically challenging environment as physical, athletic football has its limitations. So a move to Barca or Lyon can't be ruled out. Fronting up with Dutch teammate Martens in FCB Femeni is a more appealing option besides the fact that Lyon already has Ada.

@@lesliejim4243 Actually as an ardent fan of Orange Lionesses I also want DvD to go to Barca along with Miedema. Problem is even a footballer as talented as van de Donk will find it difficult to break into a midfield of Jenni Hermoso, Alexis Putellas and Patri Guijarro. Your other matter of the heart is a valid point. However a time will come when both of them will have to take a call on Miedema's career. Lisa Evans either stays at Arsenal or plays for another Spanish club in Liga Iberdrola. A player of Miedema's calibre will have very high ambitions and definitely title goals - Champions League to start with.

The overall goal of all European national women's teams should be to beat the Americans. The 2019 WC title should be the last one the Americans will ever win, that should be the goal of all European national team's efforts. European football teams are the most potent teams on the face of the planet, even the South Americans can't compete with us. We owe it to our standing to finish off the Americans once and for all! I hope the Dutch, with Miedema, Van der Donk, Roord, Martens and Van der Sanden can be a leading light for other European teams in this quest. Time, age and experience are on our side. The Olympics in Tokyo will be the next venue for the ultimate showdown.

Where was she during the last 2 World Cups?? Only teams that were at the same level as the US were England and France. That final was one sided AF... Netherlands best player is the goal keeper. That game could have easily ended 10-0 instead of 2-0 if it wasn't for Netherlands goalkeeper. The best keeper of the World Cup by far!
