It's great that she is not trying to glamourize the lifestyle and clearly states that it wasn't poverty that drove her into that direction. Instead it was the lure of beautiful things and people. She intentionally joined the life and when her time came to pay she understood - that she had to pay. Her story is a lesson for everyone and a reminder of that old adage "Everything that glitters ain't gold".

I understand your comment. But I have a different view of what Tamron said. She only told the facts and did not place blame on men. If anything it is more of awareness about the dumb choices women make because they value others more than themselves. The ultimate responsibility, though, is the woman who makes the decision for herself.

"We" also have to stop generaluzing . there are just as many men who shift blame as women. This is not a gender rights or equality moment😂. What are you talking about? Every human male or female needs to take accountability for their own actions.

I'm 69 blk f a Oakland native..I grew up not rich nor poor. I saw pimps hoes and drug dealers in the 70's. I started working for the federal government after graduation in 72. I got pregnant and at 19 I had a baby and st 20 I went to work for the State where I retired. I had 2 other kids and a pt job. I never collected welfare or lived in housing. I bought my first home before I was 35..I had goals. I watch American Gangster with the women. I admire them all. They wanted be money..I was never that ambitious. Hard work was instilled in me. I didn't break the law..nor did I do drugs. Big 50.. Wow snd the in injection queen. All of the women are amazing and strong. They had courage that I didn't have...lol. What puzzles me is that many had 2 parents and didn't grow up poor. I'm inner city my Dad died when I was 12. Folks sad I would be nothing.. I'm dark so a hoe or drug addict on welfare with lots of kids is what they say my future would be...I proved them wrong ..Thank God I still live good

A lot of woman looks at money and fashion instead of looking at themselves. Welch came from a good home, and I don't think this had anything to do with money. She was just young and naive and that this was the life.

It's crazy how you think you know ppl but really don't. I remember her from 45 years ago. She was my brother's first girlfriend ( Carl Hood ) used to go roller skating at Northland in Detroit on 8 mile. Didn't recognize her at first cuz she was skinny when she was young. Besides, haven't seen her in years. Glad to hear that she is doing well today.

Rooster's in Bermuda isn't Rooster Tail in Detroit. The rooster in my mixed media collage had nothing to do with European soccer or this. Folks always looking for a connect. My story is my own. Black Bermudians have light too. Stop stealing. I've never been incarcerated. Disappearing me to force me to bow down to the devil and be gay doesn't make me evil or repentant. Everybody wants my life and light. Sick of it. I'm in Hull, England. All the lies they are telling.
