7:38 I 100% agree. I am pretty sure I am a TR, and this confirmed it. I am currently trying on wedding dresses and bulky A-line and ball gown dresses look so awful on me. I never understood it because I thought that would be the most universally flattering style for any body type, but I just looked like I was drowning in the fabric and I looked like a little kid. I am 5’4” btw. So I swapped for more simple, draped dresses (cowl neck slip dress style), trumpet/mermaid style, and hi-low that shows my ankles and shoes, and I feel like I look so much better! I decided to just go for a more simple, form-fitting dress, and compensate by accessorizing with wedding veil, ornate pointed toed shoes with bow, etc.

I said it in the last video, but I'd like to see Helena Bonham Carter who's experimenting a lot on the Romantic side. Céline Dion would be nice too, on the Dramatic side. Obviously, if we get to more modern era, a bit more diversity would be interesting, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Halle Barry, to pick a few major name. They were hard to come by back in the old Hollywood era, but we should be able to have every image ID nowadays. One series for African Americans, but maybe we could do k-pop stars as well? Bollywood actresses? Also a series on famous vintage male stars could be useful. Can we find one for each image ID? And modern male stars after that.

She was my idol, and I’ll never forget finding out she died when I walked into the newsroom of the radio station where I worked and saw the news come over the teletype. I would love to see a video of Anya Taylor Joy's style! @makaelaischillin2 жыл бұрын
There is debate as to whether she is soft dramatic or pure dramatic. I’m leaning soft.
@DRT8132 жыл бұрын
@@makaelaischillin I'm leaning pure dramatic actually. I feel she could be kind of in between at a higher weight (like Eva Green), but her whole essence and vibe seems so ethereal, regal and elfin, which reminds me of other dramatics like Cate Blanchett, Elizabeth Debicki or Tilda Swinton. I see her more in that line than the earthy sensuality of SD queens like Sophia Loren, Rita Hayworth or Sofia Vergara. I also think she's dealing quite well with stiffer/shaped fabrics (e.g. the straight cut white coat from The Queen's Gambit), while SDs tend to look a little squished or suffocated or even boxy in those, because they need soft and drapey lines. I also think she does quite clean, elegant lines well (e.g. the black jumpsuit for her Tiffany ad or the black dress she wore for the Vogue "what's in my bag" video), that can be a bit boring on SDs, who do better with bigger ornamentation and more oomph. I also like her in some more lightweight, floaty stuff, which is technically neither D nor SD, but that's where the ethereal quality kicks in imho (like for Cate Blanchett as Galadriel for example).

100% agree on face and body enhancements! I'm most likely a TR and have a delicate frame and smallish features - I've always felt that anything fake would look incredibly vulgar, out-of-place and just plain weird on me - much more so than on some other body types. Interestingly enough, I've been compared to Salma Hayek, who's also typed as TR, even though I'm nowhere near as lush and voluptuous and am Eastern European, so there's not much resemblance at all.
@federicanardi72272 жыл бұрын
Ok. I think I am actually a theatrical romantic. Everything in her style is what has always being flattering on me too. I was indecisive between theatrical dramatic and flamboyant gamine, but I think I'm to soft and round to be a gamine

Vivien Leigh quite famously stated that she wore wigs. Her natural hair was curly, and she preferred it straight, so she wore straight wigs. The blonde wig from Streetcar Named Desire was sold at auction in 2017, along with many other items, so yes, she was definitely wearing a wig. Vivien Leigh was an elegant woman. She would have a moment of theatre in her ensemble that elevated her otherwise classic style, but she didn't wear big patterns, flounces, exvessive frills or the sorts of things Kibbe suggests. I think the skirts split to the crotch would have appalled her. Gloves and hats were still in vogue when she died, but apparently, she favoured gloved because she thought she had big hands. Whilst I wouldn't replicate exactly what she wore, I find Vivien Leigh's style to be a good template to follow.
