Hands down the Chanel 19 is my choice to wear ! I absolutely love this bag for its functionality and beauty! The Pochette metis i had in two different materials and sold both. I also had to return my canvas one for it cracking all the way from glazing through the canvas. No more PM’s for me!

I bought my Chanel 19 back at the end of 2020. Black lambskin, size medium. It was a very expensive mistake for me. The size is too small and the leather is much too delicate for daily use. The strap for me is much too short to do crossbody comfortably. I have worn it maybe 5, 6 times in the last 2 years. I wish I could sell it as it just sits in my closet, unused.

I had the chance to get the PM when it came out. Passed as it looked like I was carrying a lunch box. Too structured, which I was shocked because I love structure. Versus the 19. I have 4. Yes it’s the same boxy look but there’s this squish slouchy look that to me it looks better on me.

Definitely Chanel 19. I love the look, versatility and functionality. Even though, I don’t like the chain. Too bulky IMO. Not a fan with compartments. Owned OM in reverse monogram, sold it because it is too similar with small Trendy cc. Although, I used PM more than Trendy cc🤦‍♀️

Hi Viv! Great video. I personally use dermo protect and sensitive cleaner from the Handbag spa in the UK (I am in the US, they will sell online). It cleans and protects my Chanel lambskin just fine( I have black, beige and silver Chanel 19’s, only the beige is goatskin).

Great comparison but I feel the two bags are so very different. By the way the PM in canvas is $2570 in the US. I wish it was still 2025 so other canvas pieces would be lower also lol. I have the PM in black empreinte which I love, but it can get heavy. I love my Chanel 19s but I feel I have to be more careful with them, whereas the PM is so carefree which I do love!

I have both and I love them both equally. I’m glad that that I have the black 19 in goatskin too. Lambskin shows indentation of the top handle if you don’t protect the leather carefully when storing the bag. The 19 is more carefree than the Métis though. Even though I sprayed the vachetta of the Métis, I still have to be more careful and not wear it in bad weather.

Pochette Metis is my fave. For me it's the perfect size and is very much an every day bag. I have a rep of it but love it so much I'm considering an auth. I've gotten so many compliments on my rep and not a single cracking or glazing issue - I'm almost of the mind not to even gamble with an auth. Lol. The C19 is beautiful but I'm drawn to the non-skin versions most. Thanks for the comparison !

Hi Vivienne I’m a new subscriber and find you so entertaining and funny plus best all very frank which helped me a lot when I bought a Pochette Métis as a gift for my daughter. I bought it couple months ago because I heard the prices are going up. Anyway I know my daughter wants to have an LV. Since she worked hard in school I believed that she deserved it although I bought it in higher price in 2022. My daughter is finishing her Pediatric Residency and she had a virtual Med School Graduation because of COVID. I thought this will at least will make up just a little for the hard work she put in. I have tried to get my hands on the large caramel Chanel 19 3x’s, preowned For a bag that has only been around 4 years, they wear terrible. I had to send everyone of them back. The flap a big issue. It sags terribly when you have your items inside and hold the top handle. One sagged so bad that the flap folded up and stuck out like a wing. Maybe that is just a issue with the large one. I was going to keep one of them,but Chanel customer service is pathetic. They expected me to drive an hour and a half to a boutique to see the bag. Complete disrespect for my time. Feeling a bit disgusted with them. Any suggestions?

Well my heart is on the LV i adore the design i think it covers all my needs, and i can turn her into an evening bag by adding a silk black gold color twirly, gold and crystal charms, gold chain strap and there! cinderella is ready for the dance 😉😍🥰 Even if i had the money for Chanel i would not buy ,i think they are ridiculous to price a bag so high ,and i refuse to play marketing games. I have 19 maxi and pochette metis in cavas and leather. Both serve different purposes. Regular PM can fit so much with the 3 compartments. 19 is so soft, I love to squish it

I like the 19 but personally only in the cloth versions - I think tweed/wool goes best with the squishy vibe. Unfortunately that means it isn’t that workhorse that I need from a day-to-day bag. If I’m going for an occasion bag I’m going to reach for something else (usually smaller) so sadly I’ve just had to pass on the 19 😢

I don't own a chanel 19 but I have the pochette metis reverse. It feels like an english country style to me. I like it a lot. A chanel bag has to be in full leather, inside as well, so I don't buy a chanel bag when it is not leather lined. Maybe a silly principal. But it is the way I feel about Chanel bags.

I totally agree with you. I don’t like the 19, personally, but I bought a Chanel Boy bag a few years ago with a textile lining, and while I like the bag I absolutely would not buy it again specifically because of the lining. It makes the bag lighter but less luxurious. Leather lining wears better than textile, and it helps maintain the structure of the bag.

Have them both.... Only use the LV(2 wallets, 2 cardholders, lip gloss, note pad , alcohol wipes pen , hand sanitizer, cellphone and 3-4 all items✅. Honestly I haven't used the CC bag yet✅🍀
