1:03:14 Yes, dogs stomach can actually flip, or curl. It is not common, but has a higher chance of happening when the dog eats before running/jumping. And yes, it is dangerous.

Yes, and it IS FATAL. The stomach can flip back right, where your dog will be fine again once that happens, but if it does not flip, the stomach tissue can start to die and cause necrosis, which can lead to your dog dying within a day/hour.

The thing you were talking about with your dog about 1:03:10 with stomach being flipped (Gastric dilatation-volvulus) or "Bloat", is a very real and common issue with deep chested dogs and its unfortunately how we lost our dog last year, Rowley, where he was constantly sounding like he is throwing up and gagging. When it happens, blood flow can get pinched to the stomach and cause necrosis ultimately killing the dog in a couple hours. The stomach can also flip back to normal but as they get older it can get worse. It's pretty hard to see but its something that can happen. Our option was to either do the procedure to flip his stomach or humanely euthanize him. The scariest thing is realizing how many times it likely happened throughout his life, as there were dozens of times where he had the same symptoms (gagging, trying to throw up, salivating, etc.) but was fine later/the next day, simply because his stomach had flipped back over. I'm really happy to hear that your dog is okay and it's very possible that your dog did not experience this especially as a puppy, but if you have a dog with a deep chest (Great Dane, Poodles, German Shepherds, plus more) it's something that can happen and you should talk with your vet about the likely hood of it happening. We were told that in the emergency procedure, they would have also "attached" his stomach to the the side of his body wall, which is called a gastropexy. So if you have a breed that is high risk to this issue I seriously can't stress enough that you should discuss prevention with your vet! I am seriously broken hearted at the idea that anyone could lose their dog the same way I did, because it's an issue I had no idea really existed and could be prevented until AFTER it was too late.

I have a cat who has a medical condition. 99% you wouldn't even know but he is prone to getting something like the flu/cold because of a virus he caught before we rescued him. When he gets one of his 'colds' he won't eat but a certain med from the vet helps him feel better and keeps him eating. This vet knows about this condition and that this cat has come in a few times in his life due to it. But the last time we went they refused to give him the meds without a blood test. Blood tests are expensive, we didn't have the money so they told us because he didn't have a fever, that he was already getting over it and to take him home. It went on several more days with this cat not eating before we were forced to cave and borrow money for the blood test. As soon as they were done drawing blood, they gave him the meds (so it wasn't that he needed the results to give it) and we returned home with the cat. He recovered just fine with his meds. A few days later they call telling us the results show liver damage. This woman went on and on about all the horrible things that could be causing this, none of them good, most not even fixable. But she never said the simple reason he could be showing liver damage like that. As someone who studied to be a vet tech I knew, not eating for several days can cause liver damage. So I asked her if not eating for almost a week could cause that level of damage. Phone got real quiet. Then she slowly said that it could. They were trying to scare me into running all kinds of tests, not that it matter as what she listed off wasn't curable anyway. Like why do I care to put him through that if I can't save him? I thanked her and hung up. A few years later he was in for blood tests and I spoke to the original owner/vet (good guy) at the clinic. I asked him about liver damage. He said the cat didn't have any showing in the blood tests. It still really makes me angry they couldn't have at least mentioned the possibility of it being from his not eating, as they knew he hadn't been before the first visit. But the people the original vet brought into the clinic seem to just wanna keep you paying. It depends I guess on who you get.

glad you shared your story about your vet i actually had a pretty similar thing happen with my cat, he was straining to pee and going just anywhere and took him to the vet one morning when he was meowing a lot and seemed like he was in pain they said he had a blockage due to a uti and gave me three medications and told me to keep an eye on him so see if it gets better over the weekend we called them everyday due to concerns but they said that as long as he peed at least once within a 24hr period then there wasnt any reason to come in by the end of the week, he was hardly moving, took him to emergency to learn that his kidneys were failing due to the medicine and because they had told us to wait to see if he could pee, he had strained too hard and torn his urethra we had to lay him to rest due to their “advice” absolutely think everyone should second guess their doctor or vets opinion, remember that you know your pet or self best

If you have Thalassophobia and want to experience a thrill from a Game that isn’t necessarily a horror game, look into Stranded Deep. It’s a survival-sandbox where you crash land in the middle of the Ocean and end up on an Island, and you have to use a Life Raft to get around to other Islands to collects resources. You also have to Dive underneath the Water onto Shipwrecks to collect more valuable resources all while battling wildlife like Sharks, Giants Crabs and the Weather. It’s got jankiness to it in some aspects but it can be fun. I actually got lost earlier today during a play through and spent probably an hour and a half island hopping have to craft materials for a temporary shelter looking for my home Island, it was kinda cool. Then again, I’m on the complete opposite end of the Spectrum, instead of having Thalassophobia I’m a Thalassophile, I freakin love the Ocean, which likely has to do a lot with where I grew up. Maybe you should check it out if you enjoy getting that sort of thrill.

I can honestly relate to the vet story, I adopted my cat last year from the streets and she had so many fleas and stuff in her ear. I have gone to the vet SO many times to treat her etc. She always scratches her ear and it makes me think that there is something in her ear because she keeps continuously scratching it non-stop and the vet always tells me that it's nothing. Here in the Netherlands vet visits aren't that expensive but I've probably spent over €300 just for the vets to tell me each visit that there is nothing wrong with her or her ear. Last month I brought her to the vet because her ear was swollen and so red just for them to check her ear for 10 SECONDS or not even and tell me ''there is nothing wrong''.....

I treat my animals like they are my kids as well, however when I lost my kitty, she just stopped eating and drinking water. Time and time again our vet said she was fine, took her to many vets, all said she was fine and a few months later she passed. I'm still livid. they should have found something. its been about 7 months since she passed and every day I miss her. she was only 2 years old, so she was still just a baby.

About the dog thing, i understand your frustration but you also need to understand that the condition of the dog can change when you were in first vet and the other vet. you need to observe the x-ray as well and not immediately blame the vet. And yes some doctors can be ahole whether they are animal doctor or human doctor but you also need to remember that these doctors are also human, they forget, they get confuse just like you do.

I am a farrier (horse shoer). Vets fake it until they make it. Happens in the equine world too. They’ll cause problems with a horse’s foot (cut out too much sole and draw blood, for example) and blame an abscess. So they get a bunch of money and sell them some meds.

Its been proved that the statement (that he tped to the graveyard at 33:34,because he only ate 2 beef in the 3000 block journey, he first tped to there and walked 50 blocks back so that we think he walked the whole trip.)is false. I am sorry.(I have no problem on he tping btw :D)

Even if he's cheating who cares lmao It's a singleplayer game, I always turn my cheats on and have keepInventory set to true, even use the locate and tp function if I'm sick of searching for a specific thing, no on'es getting hurt from it

Have a story about my dog similar to yours: Brother took her to the vet cause she was limping. Well… Vet gave her medicine and stuff. Next day vet told my brother that was the wrong medication and gave him a different one. Wasted like 100 dollars or so. Eventually took her to a different vet our oldest brother takes his pets to and that vet didn’t even know what the medication was that the previous vet gave us. Like I guess some veterinarians are not as experienced as others.
