I have Vivo X90 pro plus. It is close to a perfect phone in all terms. For my taste at least. Brighter screen in 100 ultra? Yes. Better portraits (better detail) in medium light? Yes. Better battery? Yes. Better 15X or 20X zoom (max zoom in my opinion anybody need for a photo he keeps) Yes. Lets hope Vivo keeps also the build quality, Mine X90 survived when it felt on the street and an big Audi stepped all over it twice! with both left wheels. All work fine except selfie which have been replaced and now all good. So I don't know if I am gonna upgrade to ultra due to the cost but from now on only Vivo.

Great to see you have the unit in hand, can't wait for your personal feedback & opinions. Been following the phone from Chinese release presses and reviews, some pointed out some software bugs with camera (i.e blue tint phase detection in its view finder and softening text/shapes with the new HP9 telephoto). There's a ongoing update patch being roll out. I hope you can checkout whether it's been fixed. I've also heard the claims with improved battery life with the new Soc too. Thanks for getting your hands on it & can't wait for future coverages with it.

I had the xiaomi 14 ultra, i ended up selling it after 2 weeks, the camera had a better zoom on the 14 ultra, but i much preferred the software on my Vivo x90 pro plus , although sometimes my voice goes funny in calls, but a restart fixes it, will deffo be getting the vivo x100 ultra, 😊

Hey. Congratulations on your phone! Here's a few question for you: How's the video(everyone focuses on photography) as in ultrawide, day and night light, stability. Also as I understand this is the Chinese version, they will not release a global version: how is the menu, is it fully translated to English? What's the overall performance please. Many thanks. Hi :) So some I can answer, just not the video recording yet because I haven't done that yet, wanted to leave that for where I am going :) This was more of a quick video :) So for the langauge, the menu's themself are fine, however yes there are still chinese things in there, like with typing, there is a button somewhere in chinese (to switch from QWERTY to that 9 key's texting like old school phones, But I would say that I didn't feel like it bothered me, and as well as the switch to the numbers and icons while typing, that buttons is also in chinese and last one is Enter, so for instance searching on youtube, and you finished the typing you will have that comformation button/enter in chinese as well. The rest isn't really there, though I would download google chrome is browers because of course the browser is in chinese.

I would say probably not the best, but there are some sellers like tradingshenzhen that work on those phones to make it as good as possible. Biggest thig for instance is no google auto

Will this be able to take pictures of paper A4 letter or text on products label? My x100 pro was useless in this. I had to return it, shame. After the problems with camera lens fogging on xiaomi 14 ultra and quite disappointing sony 1 vi no sensors upgrade, I don't really know which camera phone to buy. Everyone takes pictures of buildings, cool, but I'm interested with other everyday tasks, like shooting text up close etc. Looks like these phones with big sensors and lenses really need variable aperture. And option to shoot in full resolution in pro mode.

THANK YOU!! A new subscriber here!!! I have the 100 pro and my only complain is the selfie camera, I know it has fixed focus but the quality if you are a little far from the phone is awful. ( My 2020 Xiaomi had better focus 😅 ) I'm wondering if the autofocus in the front camera of the X100 ultra is working well?

Hey Jermaine, I’m heading to Southeast Asia and need a smartphone that handles low light well, since my Xiaomi 11 Ultra struggles with focus in such conditions. I’ve had the Google Pixel 8 Pro twice but didn’t like the over-processed images and excessive sharpening, even in RAW. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is too pricey at 1300+ euros. Can you recommend a good alternative within 800-900 euros, preferably used, that excels in low-light photography without long exposures? (People move a lot->motion blur) Your photographer's perspective would be invaluable. Thanks! Bastian

Oh I got one that I would easily recommend, the xiaomi 13 pro! I love this phone a lot and it does a lot of stunning photography! And the telephoto isn't to sharp either! if you want the question capture (apart from the new Huawei which I doubt you will think of?) it would probably be the Sony's but they are of course more of a photographers photography phone, so you need to play around with it to get the best results, but if you do the shots are amazing! (in auto it will still do well! but just not on the Xiaomi level in my opinion, and neither is the zoom great on the V (because that one is possibly within that budget) But I would say the Xiaomi 13 Pro will do you very well!! And in low light photography that Xiaomi 13 pro keeps the feel of low light really well! if you want a bit of a lower price but still damn good, the IQOO 12! (IQOO 12 pro does have the better fingerprint scanner) let me know if you have any further questions! :D

Just got my X100pro few days ago and, I don't think it's going to be better than its younger sibling X100Pro. It was overly hyped like Samsung and Apple. It should have come with two telephoto lenses like other ultra competitions.

I think they are all very similar and have pros and cons. Where Vivo and Oppo have an advantage over Xiaomi is the ability to adjust things like sharpness though, especially to tone down sharpening in the camera apk. The biggest advantge of the Oppo find x7 ultra though is that it has reduced the price and is is a lot cheaper that the Xiaomi 14 ultra and Vivo x100 ultra which cost the same for the base variants. Xiaomi's advantage is that there is a global variant but at least the Chinese variants of the Oppo find x7 ultra and Vivo x100 ultra support all Eurpoean bands whereas the Chinese version of the Xiaomi 14 ultra is missing key European bands so is less suitable for import to European countries at least.

I don't like vivo, it doesn't have the best cameras, my Xiaomi 14 Ultra is much better, I've seen several results from the X100U, they are not good at all... so far my 14U is the best for taking pictures I like Leica's style more than Zisse, the 200mp zoom of the X100U I don't find anything interesting but for me Xiaomi + Leica is the best but great video

I personally don't like the vivo, I've never been a fan of it... But damn, I love the Xiaomi 14U, its photos are wonderful... for now I don't want anything else... but Vivo X100U is not better for me

The Vivo x100 Ultra is far superior to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Not sure what reviews you're watching. The only other phone that comes close is the Oppo X7 Ultra

I'll be honest, I like the Xiaomi more than the Vivo... Because I know that vivo's HDR will have problems in a few months, the x100 pro already has it... this one will be the same... but I also like Xiaomi's style more than vivo's... I should buy Nikon for zoom. P1000 which surpasses 14U and the X100U but once again I love the results of the Xiaomi 14U
