Hi! I have a couple of questions: 1. Have you tried using blending solution instead of alcohol, and if so, how does it play differently? 2. Do you have a video on sealing these designs? I know you do Kamar and then resin, but I would love to see your procedure. ❤ Thanks for everything!!! I love watching your channel.

Hi there. I don't use blending solution, only alcohol. It's just how I started and what I prefer. I do have a video on sealing alcohol ink. I use varnish, then uv protection and on occasion, I will finish it off with resin. 😊

I found your tutorial really interesting , I don't have pens except some metallic pens in pastel colours, just ink and no matter what I've used to far to blow with I've not been able to make one petal like you have, I use Yupo paper and Dura-Lar .005 two-sided matte film with a variety of alcohol inks, i can show you examples of what I've done but I'm not happy with anything I've done, I'm new to inks but I'm enjoying it.

Linda, try working on tile and order the Ranger air blower. Neither are expensive and if you dont like it, you can easily wipe it off and start again. The alcohol ink markers I used in this video were not expensive either. The links for the Ranger air blower and the markers are in the description box below the video if you'd like to take a look. The tile was purchased at Home Depot and are about $ .98 each. Its a good place to start until you get a feel for the inks and learn to control them. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way.

Although I've not had much success with the blower I've not tried a tile before so wish me luck, I was going to leave you a tip only i was hoping it was a link and it isn't, how do i do it. Are you sealing these when they are dry? If so, with what and how many coats? Thank you!

If I decide to keep it, I use 2 coats of Kamar Varnish and then 2 coats of Kamar UV Protection. Once that's all dry ( I wait a couple of days), I resin over it. That way it can be used decoratively or as a trivet or coaster (if the tile were smaller).

Very pretty! The one thing I want to ask is when using the alcohol it makes the ink color on the tile fade so much. How does it appear after being resined?

Thank you. I have tiles that I've sealed and varnished that after 1 year, still look as great as the day I created them. I will say that they have not been exposed to direct sun, which would probably fade the colors.

The markers I have dont work well on paper. They stain, but better markers may work.

You may be able to, depending on the markers you use. Mine dont blend well on photo paper. They leave a stain.
