Hello and welcome! Today I decided to go back to where I began with alcohol ink and create a flower. It feels like I haven't created one of these in a while. I used Posca pens for the center and I love how it turned out. I hope you enjoy the video and give it a try.

The sped up version works for me because it's still slow enough that we can see every step you take. You are one of my favorite teachers because the speed is just right and you explain everything so well in your voice overs!

The sped up videos are fine with me. They are not annoying as some of the other artist’s videos! As one person said, we can always go forward or backwards by moving the red line at the bottom. This flower was beautiful and the video “just right”! Thanks for always sharing and being transparent….gives me confidence to try! Thanks😊

I don't mind the sped up version. I do like a variety of lengths though. Sometimes I will be sitting and crocheting and I just want to listen and watch a longer video of my favorite arts. This flower turned out beautiful. I need to get a few posca's added to my tools. I love how the black made the flower pop.

I appreciate both the content and speed. It seems more appropriate to show things in real time if you expect someone to do the exact same thing as you- like a paint by number. But where you teach a technique it seems like explaining how to do it and what could go wrong/how to avoid it would be most useful. This was definitely the case for me.

Best flower tutorial I’ve ever seen. Thank you for explaining how to gently reshape the petals if they start to split. I keep telling myself I’m never going to try another flower, but maybe I will after seeing this. 🙄

I prefer sped up. You're still showing all the very important steps in the creative process. It's not necessary to watch you outline each petal, etc. I absolutely love your work and your video style is perfect.

I don’t mind sped up sections where it is repetitive, then slow down when introducing other techniques. Your voice overs are seamless. While viewers can speed up the videos on their own, I think it negatively effects your KZbin analytics. KZbin may think you viewers are bored and may not push your content out. You want full views and engagement (like and comment) to grow. So it is better for you to control the length of your video. You are right about using black ink becoming streaky. It happened to me and ruined one of my better paintings.

Love the way you presented this tutorial. A lot of troubleshooting tips. It is probably the first time i have conquered a flower. My only issue is getting a round centre. Is there a way to round it off? My ink doesnt sit in a circle - it slides off in all directions. Im using photo paper and pinata inks. Thanks
@VivoVintageDesigns
@VivoVintageDesigns Жыл бұрын
Thank you. You can always use a micro brush to reshape it if necessary, however, it doesn't have to be perfectly round as long as the center you create is as round as you'd like it to be.

Speeding up is NOT needed because if someone is bored with watching the same thing, like blowing out several petals, all they need to do is advance the video to the next step by clicking on the red line at the bottom. They can control going forward or backward. If you speed them up I fear I would go nuts and have to stop the video to see what you did. Leave them as they should be and let your viewers control what they see and the ability to pass on by if that is what they need to do.
