One thing I've been doing with legacy challenges to reduce the amount of cakes I have to make is immediately have another sim put candles on the cake while the one is aging up, so no one can take a piece. They last a long time, so you can just throw it in the fridge. Voila, less cakes to make and less sims constantly eating cake.

The part about the sisters just hanging out in each other’s room is oddly accurate. The amount of times I've been in my room about to go to sleep when my sister walks in and sits on my bed and just starts either reading or watching KZbin on her phone is kinda of insane. There were several times when we had sleepovers in each other’s rooms. Especially when either of us was having a rough day/week.
