I knew Jan Kuehnemund since I was young, and the original Vixen. My older sister was the original drummer in Vixen. Jan was an amazing talented guitarist, and wonderful person.

It's honestly astonishing how well rock bands from the 80's hold themselves together after so many years and still sound better than legit everything else!

Unfortunately, that's not the case for Vixen. The only member of the band's heyday still there is Roxy. Good song, though. And they split up acrimoniously in the 90s before reforming. Now, bands like Def Leppard, Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. They're the ones that have held together through everything - with Def Leppard losing a guitarist through alcohol poisoning and giving their drummer a chance after he lost an arm in a car crash. He's still there, 40 years later.

@jasonbowers1090 yeah, he's a seriously talented dude. He teamed up with Adrian Smith (Smith/Kotzen) for an album and a tour. Julia was the bass player. Richie also has a single called "You" (check out the video on KZbin) That's his daughter in the video playing piano. She wrote the music for the song and Richie put words to it

@@thejtotheb5419 To each his or her own , I suppose, but I'll take this new Vixen song over most of today's "chart toppers" such as Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and the endless parade of hip-hop, rap, etc. Writing a song catchy hook isn't easy, and the vast majority of those who try, fail. So I respect Vixen for writing and releasing "Red", and, judging by most of the comments on here, the song has struck a chord with plenty of others.

As a Vixen fan since 2011 (unfortunately I wasn't born in the 80's haha), this is exactly what I want to hear.
