I read that N (the one who sings alone in the rain) was jealous of Leo (the guy on the other side of the door when N opened it) because he got the girl (the wedding invitation in Dynamite) so he asked Ravi (the guy doing the witchcraft) to switch his body with Leo's so that he can fulfill his fantasy of being with the girl. Hyuk (the guy who tries to stop him from going through the door -- which I do think, like your interpretation, represents fulfilling and holding on this fantasy of his) is the force of truth and goodness trying to stop him from doing evil things to reach this fantasy. He's trying to keep him in reality. But Ken and Hongbin, the other guys who keep pointing out things for N to look at symbolise the ones who help him fuel this fantasy as he falls deeper and deeper into his envy of Leo.

Yes, Josh! This concept has to do with Hades (part two to the Greek myth theme they're doing this year). Dynamite was related to Zelos/Zelus who embodies jealousy. The story of Dynamite is actually pretty dark, a guy is drunk at a bar and refuses to believe that it's over and starts saying he wants to go crazy. "I was supposed to be the hero But I’ve become the villain Even if I have bad intentions girl I wanna steal you so don’t leave me" Hades as the god of the underworld, among other things, is associated with death and darkness. He kidnaps Persephone, a figure of life and spring, drags her down to the underworld with him, and binds her to him. The lyrics are very poetic and dark. The breakup is sinking in but he'd rather stay in a fantasy where she needs him. Then reality comes back with pain like thorns. I think the members are inner demons and madness. To me, N is the guy, Leo and Hyuk represent Light and Truth (like you said they wear white) and Hongbin, Ken, and Ravi are Lies and Darkness (who wear black). The inner struggle is: N is rejecting accepting the truth of the breakup (like Hyuk [who I think is Truth]- is pushed away and Leo who is tied up) vs being in complete denial and living in the fantasy (Hongbin being Lies whispers in one of N's ears while Hyuk/Truth is talking into the other and Ken [Delusion?] pointing N towards the door which appears white on one side but is actually black on the other) vs darker punishing thoughts towards himself and the girl, maybe even harming her? (Ravi has Leo tied up and the lyrics at the rap "Pain pain, I can be in more pain Even if I get torn apart and cut by knives I only need to have you Your existence is heaven and hell The standard to divide that line I promised to be your angel You need to have me). The darker thoughts outnumber and are stronger as N rejects and locks away the lighter ones. Sorry this is so long. Makes me want to rewatch Dynamite with this MV in mind.

Hmmmmmm. Well just rewatched Dynamite, and this is what I got at first thought: The eye is the symbol of the Inner Eye, which usually represents enlightenment/being able to see past the immediate and make sense of chaos. But the choreo really highlights covering eyes/blinding ones self. So mayyyybe N's blinding himself to the truth. As for the right hand in Greek myth elements of power or weapons are usually held in the right hand. If there is a Christian element like Josh thinks, the right hand also represents salvation. Maybe Leo represents N's opposite or light sided other self and with Leo's hand injured and then covered (it's also covered in Dynamite) he's weakened, blinded and/or damned? Also I read somewhere else where the red fluid is like the pomegranate in the myth, the device Hades uses to bind Persephone to the Underworld.

Yes Hades is supposed to be pt 2 of Conception it's a full 3 part story pt.1 is Dynamite, Pt.2 is Fantasy, Pt.3 will come when they comeback with their Kratos Album =]

In a interview for Hades Ravi has said that Chained Up is somehow involved and he wants us to connect all 3 of the mvs (Chained Up, Dynamite, and Fantasy)

Since their concepts this year all revolve around mythology (Dynamite's album name is Zelos, Fantasy's is Hades) there's a lot of fans that think it has to do with the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice. :) Your theory is also really good, too!

There was a lot of hype around this comeback because they finally decided to go back to a proper dark concept thanks to which, I think, they stood out in the first place. I know they always deliver quality music, but I am still amazed how awesome and well-produced this song is. Just, wow. Really enjoyed the interpretation, especially since I had no idea how to understand the mv at all :D

VIXX is going with a ruling based upon Greek Mythology, 1st was Dynamite based upon the Greek God Zelos (God of Jealousy) and now Fantasy with the Hades (The God of the Underworld) and the third part of the trilogy is supposedly going to be Kratos! I love your theory! They actually explain the plot of the mv in the description, but I liked your interpretation too. Dynamite and Fantasy both have these hard to pick out plots, but the zelos storyline is actually really cool.

Agree! Got chills (especially at the end). Fantastic song and I love the mixture of classical music and the pop stuff. It reminds me of how a lot of kdrama songs used to be (mixing those classical and current elements). Ga-In "Paradise Lost" is a favorite of mine too. I loved the dark theme and it was creatively done, full of symbolism which I really enjoy having majored in English (lots of interpreting symbolism in that lol).

This is basically the prequel to Dynamite. Fantasy shows how Leo (Hades, God of the Underworld) and N (mortal) got their evil eyes which you can see in Dynamite (N's was visible and Leo covers his with a glove/bandages). In Fantasy, it is revealed clearly that Ken is the mastermind behind everything as shown in all the teasers and his imagery of being above everyone else. His henchmen are Ravi, Hongbin, and Hyuk. Leo lives in the underworld and captures the goddess in his realm. N gets jealous and tries to look for the girl. Ken uses Hyuk and Hongbin to prompt N into going after the girl into the underworld (he clearly has ulterior motives and reasoning to get access to the underworld). Hyuk senses something is wrong and tries to stop N, but fails. Ken gathers Leo's and N's blood and has Ravi create a potion that gives N and Leo the evil eye and the story ends there with Ken and his henchmen together having made it past the underworld door. If you now look at Dynamite, you'll notice that this is when N finally makes it into the underworld with Ken and his henchman in tow. He sees the girl with Leo and a battle ensues as he explodes with jealousy. The 3rd part of the conception series should show the end of the story, but its definitely greek mythogoly driven. We all know by now that Ken is a God, but we dont know which and that he has a grudge against Leo (Hades) and wants him gone. Maybe we'll know by the final part of the series who Ken is and why he's manipulating N and why wants Leo gone? Maybe Hyuk will have a bigger role since he doesn't like whats unfolding? :)

I wouldn't say they're Ken's henchmen, if what Jelpi showed us earlier is true then Ken should be Zeus and Ravi should be Hades, but the imagery they gave for Ken still seems pretty obscure to what he actually is since it seems like he's just an inner demon when he's more than that.

What I admire about it is that it mixes classic music of Beethoven moonlight sonata adaptation at both start and end. Actually if you look at VIXX Fantasy pictures, you can see Ravi wearing that kind of "Jesus spike throne", Hyuk has it on his neck, Leo at his eye, N at his hand, Hongbin has it at his ears and Ken has it bigger at his neck. And on the performance only N wears it and all of them has little spikes and chains over their shirts. ^^And if you haven´t seen VIXX Love me do performance, you should check it out. ^^ It would be nice to see how male´s react to it.

That lacquer crown of thorns earring (earpiece?) was *wicked* stylish. I was thrown off from the start because the intro is Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Not an interpretation or something inspired by Moonlight Sonata--actually Moonlight Sonata for 30-45 seconds before it branches off into something new and nice. I've listened to it four times now, and I'm still not sure whether I like it as is, whether I'd like it more with an original intro, or whether I'd like it in a Broadway musical but not an MV.

Okay Josh, I know this is not your usual type of music, but you should absolutely react to Ken from VIXX on Duet Song Festival!! His voice is heavenly! I personally recommend Moon of Seoul or I Want to Fall in Love (turn on eng sub). He sings it with Choi Sangyeop, whose not from VIXX but also has an amazing voice! Not Biblical, Greek mythology. The door is to the Underworld. The story starts in Dynamite, the god of envy, Zelos is contolling N who is in love with a girl who loves Leo. In this one, N is desperate and goes to Hades to get himself changed into Leo by Ravi.I think Leo was lured to the changing by following the girl to woods in the beginning. You can see in the end Leo bandaging his hand but you see the evil eye on it, which was the mark of Zelos that N had.
