Tadeh Daschi's music video for VIZA's "Trans-Siberian Standoff" centers on a group of idealistic resistance fighters who have taken refuge inside a bunker, awaiting the unknown outcome of an apocalyptic war. The world the characters inhibit exists in a fictional dystopian setting with a brooding, yet visually vibrant look at a standoff against an unnamed totalitarian regime. After watching the video and reading the description, I can't make out that this song is anti-communist. It really looks to me like it's not, and if it is they could have made it more obvious. "...on a group of idealistic resistance fighters who have taken refuge inside a bunker, awaiting the unknown outcome of an apocalyptic war. The way I see it, that totalitarian regime would more likely be USA, while the rebels here are communists... Or maybe the totalitarian regime is not USA but some other country, maybe even modern-day or future Russia, but the "rebels" here are again communists. They never say the the other side in this "apocalyptic war" (of which we know nothing about) is good or same or worse. Maybe it's neither pro nor anti, it's just a story that takes no one's sides.
