Awesome and simple to follow! Thank you! Is it possible to render this with the Movie Render Queue? I tryied to do so, but it not reacts to the audio. I added an audio track to the timeline, also without success. But if I use Sequencer Render (not the movie render queue), I have the audio reaction, but with problems, like lack of sync and the limitations of the sequencer render.
@vjfader
@vjfader Жыл бұрын
for Microphone audio input, you can not run through Movie Render Queue as it is not real-time, instead you can use a pre-recorded audio WAV file in a timeline sequencer

Hello for scratch dynamic input the "map get" only had "input default" how do I change the "particle attributes to output"? particles position is empty no x y z fields.

How would you make the Niagara system only listen to a specific sound source and not every single audio playing in the engine?
@vjfader

You can use a submix

Why my inputs in scratch doesnt show up in the system overview? I cannot set up audio or any other custom inputs because of this. Did exactly the same as in the video but there is no "look at position" like in 8:41
@vjfader
@vjfader 3 жыл бұрын
It’s hard to answer without seeing a screenshot, make sure your data type for output is correct, for example can’t use float output on vector3
@pnth2344
@pnth2344 3 жыл бұрын
Hello, you need to do this : in your scratch pad, under the dynamic inputs list, right click your scratch dynamic input - in this example it is supposedly named "orient to center" - and choose "apply changes". Every time you make changes, the "*" character will appear as a suffix to your dynamic input; once updated, it disappears. The input does not update automatically when saving the niagara system, which is why you could not find the "look at position" vector.

I managed to do it in Unreal 4.27 by adding a lifecycle track to sequencer AND rendering in MRQ (old render legacy method does not seem to record the niagara AV reacting)

okay now at 10:00 im stuck. my cubes dont stretch out like that. they stay in their singular form and move out towards edge. I followed step by step, the only difference is that in 5.1 when you connect lookAtPosition to Normalize Distance Range it creates a new node to convert the input to a position. Then, in my NS system, the "lookAtPosition" does not appear underneath my scratch pad name. I'm quite confused as to why my meshes arent rendering extended like yours but I feel like it has something to do with these updates?? Not expecting you to have an answer just sharing my experience in 5.1!! :)
@vjfader
@vjfader Жыл бұрын
maybe you need to add a forcer to move the cubes out from center?

Hi James, thanks for this! So after watching the video, I'm kind of understand your creative approach with Niagara. So basically, the spawning particle always based on the specific mesh, including the material you prepared previously, right?
@vjfader
@vjfader 3 жыл бұрын
yes, I almost always use Mesh particles in my visual designs, unless they are glowing dots
