I started making a little el match coupler for the upper HF bands. It has small sections of air variable going as low as about 2pF. For the inductor right now I have to use a fixed value but might try building a small variometer. I thought about the coil-in-coil type mentioned in one of your recent videos but thought it might become problematic at these higher frequencies. As it is just standing closer than about 4 feet away drastically affects the readings on the analyzer. So I guess I'm off to rack my brain to think of some nesting spherical objects that will support a few turns of wire.

Hello vk3ye, could you do a bit more with AM, IRF510, and maybe PWM modulation? Greetings from the Netherlands! Rob

Interesting idea but I'm pretty much full up with projects and project ideas at the moment. Hope someone else can do a video on it.

It seems to me that there should be a simple way to demodulate DSB. I wonder what happens if you frequency double a DSB signal and then mix it with the original? Maybe it turns into AM or baseband audio but I haven't tried it.

I did read somewhere about doubling it then halving it and generating a phase-locked carrier which could enable clear detection without flutter etc.

I am getting more and more annoyed by operators using „alternative“ words for spelling. It only makes sense when everyone uses the same. SIERRA RADIO.
