Yep, but Ghosts is slightly futuristic and straight pull bolt rifles are the easiest designs to convert to semi-auto... so it is plausible in a sense.

depletedyourcranium the reason its bolt action is because its quieter than a gas impingment system (gas tube), and also quieter than the gas piston (long stroke and short) this guns rivals the vss vintorez, and as val in quietness... they would never convert this gun to semi auto... and the magazine is single stack 5 rounds, and its the same size as the real life one...

Best gun ever. First fell in love with it when I picked it up from an enemy. The compsing team was storming in like zombies, and I got them all it was awesome. But the only thing I don't like is the huge gun and scope that I have on it that takes up a majority of the screen. This is a good running recon type of guy, where you always are on the run.

Im not a sniper and i hate snipers, the one shot quickscopers annoy the hell out of me. But i decided to give the vks a go because it doesnt look all that overpowered with the suppressor, and snipers are no where the most annoying thing in ghosts, and oh my god is it fun! Real fun gun to use, got a specialist bonus AND a triple on my first game with it

You should do a similar series on killstreaks. I came back to Call of Duty and a lot of the killstreaks were completely new to me. I understand they change game to game but they used to keep a similar pattern. I still don't know exactly what each one does and what class they are best suited to.

The VKS uses a subsonic 12.7x55 round. that's a subsonic .50 caliber. These guns, the heavy, semi-auto, One shot, one kill weapons are overlooked by the modern quickscoping style of play.

I actually know of some real-life guns I'd like to see in Call of Duty that I'm sure I never will, but it would make my purchases much more fulfilled: FN SCAR-PDW H&K VP70 H&K VP70M (just a VP70 with a stock attachment that allows burst-fire) H&K SL8 Springfield 1903A4 Springfield Armory XD Beretta Px4 Storm FN P90 (return) H&K MP5 (return) H&K G36 (return) Steyr AUGA2 (return) Beretta ARX-160 Glock 17 I'm prepared to see none of these, but it would be very nice.

The ARX-160 is already in Ghosts.... But an AUg would be great, the AUG A3 is the modern choice and it fits better in the scenario

Ilurblur The HK 416 was replaced with the M27 in Black Ops 2, and the M8A1 is basically just an XM8, but I would love to see the XM8 fully auto by default with its real life integrated red dot sight in the game.

The way the same game differs over platforms is staggering. On consoles you can lay locking onto a target for ages. On PC, if an enemy sees you before you see them, you will be dead in miliseconds. It works the same way on every single FPS available for both.

Is the hit detection a bit broken with this gun? Even in this vid, many shots seemed good, but didn't even give Stu a hit marker. On another note, why are enemy Riley's so kind to you? For you he sits there and waits to receive your bullets; For me he runs across the map and commando-lunges thru a wall to get me?!!

Another perk that can be useful with it is the Overkill one, which allows you to have 2 primaries. The beeline straight for you will be backed up by another weapon, luckily.

i use this gun it is one of my favorite snipers I use thermal and armor piercing rounds with off the grid, blind eye, takedown, extra lethal, and fully loaded, with no secondary, and 2 i.e.ds

I feel like the skill level for each Call of Duty just gets lower and lower But since this video is based off a Sniper Rifle, let's go over sniping CoD MW (1, 2)- the .50 cal was just as strong as this weapon, but more recoil, wasn't suppressed by default (if you did suppress it, it couldn't kill for shit), and you had to use Stopping Power CoD WaW- Every sniper (excluding the PTRS) had to be used with iron sights until you unlocked the scope through working towards it, and each one (again, excluding the PTRS) was bolt-action. The PTRS itself was basically a MW 1+2 .50 cal, except no stopping power was necessary, and even then it has slower RPM and 5 shots Even Blops 1+2 and MW2.5 had different sniping, but it was so full of quick scoping you couldn't tell too often MW2 was basically the line between these, having maps that you could sit in the back of the map and pick people off, but still having people running around and quick scoping And here's Ghosts, which I don't really have any opinion on, since. I haven't played it (60$ is not worth the same shit for the 7th year in a row come on Activision) but I will say it seems too easy now, with Suppressed .50 cals doing more than the one from MW2 Then the fucking LYNX, which, thank you IW, encourages proper sniping, but still can kill in a shot anywhere except the arms and shins But pay no attention to me, most of this is just my personal opinion
