Here is what makes this show unique from other superhero media: The combat tactics and damage are always as realistic as possible, the teams actually fight effectively to their strengths, it’s neither naive or edgy about superheroing, and the story has a perfect beginning, middle, and end for all characters involved

The craziest part about when Omni-Man went to the Flaxans dimension, is that for us/Earth it took hours at most, but for the Flaxans it was weeks, maybe even months of non-stop destruction and fear.

It really does make a lot of sense. I've been told I look like a lot of different people, (just one of those faces I guess,) but no one has ever actually mistaken me for one of them. Plus, you've got the whole uniform as well. Maybe it's just me, but there's been times I've seen a co-worker outside of work and dressed in their street clothes, and I didn't recognize them at first. Your eyes may see everything, but your brain still filters things for what it expects to see.

In the comics I think the DC's Justice League had a more fixed Iconic line up than Marvel's Avengers (which changed much more often), so you see The Guardians in this show & the 7 in the Boys look much more like the Justice League, helps us understand their powers, character etc much more quickly. Love this show (& the comic), you made me laugh saying how good a Dad Omni Man was just before he punched Mark, still makes me chuckle!

So a cool little detail, the reason Omni-Man comes back with facial hair is because his body is running at "Earth Time" in their dimension so each second is like a day for his body He has to get the job done quickly or he'll die of old age too (this isn't at all how time dilation works, but it makes sense within the rules they set up) Which also means he exterminates the planet within a matter of minutes. He's moving so fast that he's causing a sonic boom, not of sound but of fusion reactions which wipes out the planet

Yeah so this is based on a comic created by Robert Kirkman who also created the Walking Dead comic hence the Gore. Mark aka Invincible is voiced by Steven Yeun from TWD series. Also the entire Guardians of the Globe team were all cast members from TWD.

What I like in this show is that it replies, from the very first episode, to the question "if superman went berserk, what would happen ?" Obviously he wouldn t be stopped that easily, and the fantasy fight "batman vs superman" would be some unilateral massacre. That s what I like in this show, heroes powers are really dangerous, and they are destructive. Mark isn t the real hero of the show, most of the time. He s just part of a way bigger story, and that s cool.

Always funny watching people freak out when Nolan kills Guardians of the Globe or wipes out that entire alien planet. I am probably one of the few that is laughing at how weak they are and cheering for Nolan as he wipes them all out. He's like almost like Frieza, has no problem wiping out entire planets and slaughtering millions. Only big difference is Frieza has a better sense of humor and Nolan is more like a emotionless machine.

This series has a lot of excellent actors besides J. K. Simmons; Amber is played by Zazie Beetz, who played Domino in Deadpool 2, Mark Hamill is the tailor that makes Mark's suit, Cecil is played by Walton Goggins, who was the comic relief villian in Antman and Wasp, Rex Splode is Jason Mantzoukas - Derek in The Good Place. And of course, whenever you need a deep, growly voice, like Damien Darkblood, you hire Clancy Brown (The Kurgan in Highlander, Capt. Hadley in The Shawshank Redemption). And Allen is Seth Rogan, who originally signed up to direct when Invincible was going to be a movie.

The first nineteen minutes of your reaction was quite a rollercoaster for you. I remember thinking about the same thing Warner brothers did with Henry Cavill "Superman with a moustache? No good can come from this." but I didn't think they'd dial it up to eleven like that. Going in blind to the show I honestly thought we were going to get something similar to Superman's scenario in Injustice. Makes me wish I could experience that WTF moment for the first time again.
